Wuxi Marriott Hotel Lihu Lake

It was a nice property, close to the main tourist attractions. Getting taxis sometimes weren’t that convenient as they don’t drive inside unless the taxi was dropping someone off. It’s very clean and well maintained building. I booked a room for 3 people but they kept only providing 2 sets of towels, so there were a lot of phone calls for additional towels.

The property is nice service is great room is small bed ok. Shower has low water pressure. Vegetables and fruit selection at breakfast was ok. The call center speaks almost no English. People were smoking in the elevator and threw the cigarette buds on the floor. Check in and check out was quick and efficient

It is my second time to stay at Marriott Wuxi, and it impressed me a lot this time. I have to say the check-in and staying experience was not very good, because of the attitude of the receptionist and poor quality of the first room they arranged. As a new hotel, there is still a little off flavour, and in the room they gave me, there was a strong irritating smell. However, things were tackled perfectly with the efforts of their amazing staff. And I am writing this review mainly for introducing their amazing team instead of the hardware property (since it has been a lot). Catherine is one of the most professional duty managers I have encountered. She was caring, helpful and considerate. After knowing the problems of the room they arranged, she spent nearly the whole afternoon getting a solution. It made me a lot bit frustrated, but fully gratitude for her effort. Club Lounge manager Sophie is kind and intuitive. She could put herself in guests' shoes to offer assistance, with a genuine smile. Cherry Zhu was amazing as well, leading her team to deliver high-quality service. Special thanks for those amazing ladies. To be frank, we choose Marriott for staying, not only because of its great properties but also for its high standard of service, and the service is actually the key to impress us, to make us feel home. There will inevitably be issues occurring in a new hotel, it is those amazing people that make the issues no longer issues. I highly recommend this property, and if you encounter any problems when staying, I believe they can address them nicely.

The property is beautiful! Conveniently located close to Yuantouzhu (go to Fairy Island!). And only about 5 miles from the city center. The rooms are awesome, with great decoration and comforts! The staff when we arrived at the hotel was super helpful and all fluent in English. The second day, however, only one staff member spoke English and it was limited. The Golden Keys concierge made no attempt to understand my request to store our luggage for the day, even when I used a translation app. Finally when we came to collect our luggage, he didn’t even understand his own notes on the luggage ticket and had to search for a missing item for several minutes. I would stay again as it is extremely comfortable and beautiful, but I expect more from a global brand in terms of service. Even if you don’t speak English, there should be more effort to gain understanding of the guests’ needs

Property: Hotel seemed almost brand new. Really high quality rooms and lobby. Service was great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was easy/efficient. Gym was well equipped and large. Also has a nice big swimming pool. Location: amazing right along Lihu lake. Walking distance to liyuan and short drives to most other tourist attractions Breakfast: delicious with very large spread Will definitely come back and stay at this hotel again

I stayed here for 1 night. It is only 2-3 months old. The rooms are nice, the gym is not huge but has all new equipment. The lounge is a good size for the size of the hotel. The location of the hotel has nice views of the lake

I have been a long time SPG Plat and now since the programs are combined, I started to shift some of my stays to Marriott. I saw on the Marriott app that there's a brand new Marriott hotel in Wuxi and decided to give a try since the pictures of the hotel looked fantastic. Booked a quick two night stay and unfortunately I was quite disappointed. The hotel offers free parking (for now), but the elevator from the parking to the hotel lobby was quite hidden especially with the doors constantly closed. I was asked for my employee ID upon check in since I used a Corporate rate, which fortunately I had with me. As a Marriott Platinum, I was upgraded to a garden view executive floor king room, despite the fact that rooms with a lake view and even suites were available at the time according to the Marriott app, I didn't really argue too much about it since I was pretty tired, and I didn't have that much expectation of Marriott to follow its own upgrade rules. Anyhow, what really made me quite unhappy is the condition of the room. Despite of being less than 2 months old, there are so many wear and tear in the rooms. None of the electric sockets were working properly - significant amount of brutal force was needed to get any of them to take my chargers. Water pressure was unstable anytime the toilet was flushed, and the rainforest showerhead didn't work at all. Ah, and none of the staff I met during my two days stay said hi to me or even smiled to me when I walked by. The executive longe was very beautiful, and I did felt welcomed in there when greeted by the very welcoming lounge staffs. The happy hour spread was kind of midcourse in Asia standard, but overall the lounge experience was the shining spot of the entire stay. Overall, the hotel was quite beautiful, but the soft product needs significant improvements.
