La Casa de Carmen

The host was nice when we met her. Good to get washing done. Lovely to be able to chat in english and loved that the host made a hot water bottle because it was so cold.

Host should have been at the property to let us in instead of us having to wait 30 minutes and not knowing if she would turn up so we could get in. No hot water the first night/day because the gas had run out and we weren't aware. Didn't enjoy the 5am wake up when someone else needed a gas bottle changed above our room.

What a gem of a place. The owners are friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and cosy and comfy. The location was great. It's such a lovely place to stay. Only tow things were that there is a light right outside my window, but i used a rug and blanket to cover the window up. My timing wasn't great in that her sons were visiting and they were up until 4am drinking and it was a little inconvenient, but I understand how these situations can go I didn't let it get to me. Nice that they all enjoy eachothers company that much ha ha.

Very cozy. Felt like home. In a great location with wonderful hosts. Good WiFi. Great price. Nice and quiet.

Carmen and Victor were exceptional hosts! I’m a solo traveller and their care, attention and friendliness made my stay even more memorable!

Carmen the owner was really friendly & helpful. The place was very pretty, with a pear tree growing through the centre of the courtyard & lots of colourful art & flowers everywhere. Had onsuite bathroom, with decent hot shower

Nothing I didn’t like, maybe the bed could have been a bit softer, but not bad. This is not for you if you like a generic holiday Inn type vibe. I did a ‘city tour’ which was actually traipsing round lots of ruins on the outskirts, it took 6 hours. This might be your cup of tea 🤔

The location is within walking distance to everything. The property and garden are beautiful. Welcoming owners. Her shop is unique compared to other vendors.

My booking said free breakfast but this was only offered as an additional fee. The room could have used a little bit of a sweep before I arrived.

It is the cutest, quaintest little family home right in the heart of San Blas. A great mix of hotel/hostel/homestay with privacy. Carmen loves her plants and is truly the heart of this business, she is the most amazing woman. Carmen and Victor made me feel so welcomed and I would recommend this property to anyone! It’s the best ❤️

Bathrooms, doors and outlets could be a little cleaner. That’s to be expected but still just needs a good wipe down. I was worried about the hot water from other reviews but wasn’t really a problem for me! Just have to take quick showers.
