GrandStay Hotel & Suites Hastings

This hotel came in with a win! We needed a room for one night with our kids and this place did not disappoint Clean bathroom and beds; comfy beds our kids slept well. The air conditioning was good the most important thing was non smoking and available for us to check in at almost close to midnight.

Everything was good.

I liked the water pressure.

This was not a good stay! The daytime staff doesnt care...she didn't ask how my stay was or anything! The beds were SOOO FIRMM couldnt hardly sleep between that and the a/c making noise off and on all night. There is a plumbing issue with the hotel! Many of the rooms were requesting plungers. Carpet was dirty and there were crumbs in the bed when I went to lay down. The bedding is very rough and even the pillows were so flimsy i needed at least 3 more, but never got the pillows i requested.

Disappointed...no scrambled eggs for breakfast.

The room had a musty smell but everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly. Pool and hot tub were enjoyable.

Quiet, peaceful

Booked 2 rooms, one king suite and one double queen. Got to check in the there were no king suite rooms left.

The common areas were clean and the pool area was nice. I did experience a friendly gentleman performing a number of maintenance activities while I was having my dental breakfast.

I reserved a junior suite with a in-room Whirlpool tub. Upon entry we were overwhelmed by an odor that can only be described as a combination of mustiness and dirty gym socks. As we needed to leave right after check-in to get to a concert we didn't say much. On the way back to the hotel I picked up some must and mildew odor remover sprayed it in the carpets hoping that it would improve our experience. It did not, as I woke up at 4:00 a.m. with a splitting headache and opened the windows to let in fresh air from the parking lot. Additionally, after waiting nearly 10 minutes for the tub to fill up above the jet line, the tub ran for about 5 seconds and then shut off and Iwas never able to get it to turn on again. As this was at 11:00 p.m., I did not engage the staff. I did report these problems to the front desk at checkout and received nothing other than watching the individual write a note about what was wrong.
