No china for making cooked cereal. Just polystyrene which was not suitable.

Our room was spacious and felt intimate. The beds were comfortable and the shower nice and warm. The location is fabulous with lots to do just minutes away but also a park the other direction if you wanted to go for a walk. We couldn't hear our neighbors and we hope they couldn't hear us. We loved having our own bathroom and a fridge available.

From the listing, I was not completely aware of the set up of this property or what amenitites would be available to us. For example: There was shampoo but no hair conditioner or hair blow dryer so I had not packed appropriately for my stay. I was in town to attend a wedding, so those details are important to have listed in the property details. We were also only left 2 wash clothes in addition to the 4 towels we needed and no hand towel. I would have prefered that we had one of everything. I think guests would also like to know that the property is a home with 5 bedrooms and a common space for breakfast, each bedroom with it's own lock and key. When we checked in, everything in the common areas was pristine, cozy and inviting. However, when we got to our room, we felt like the 3 bears finding a mess that was not supposed to exist in our newly prepped room. Someone else had been there before we checked in, which was a little disconcerting. One of the beds was disheveled and someone had peed in the toilet and not flushed it. I was grateful for the quick response of the property. The house cleaner came within 15 minutes and tidied everything up for us. I would feel safer if there was a lock box holding our key for when we arrived and the room was locked, but if the price reflects the current set-up, then I can't complain too much. Another problem we encountered is that someone from the 4 other rooms in the house took two of our opened and half eaten subs. We were warned that this could be a problem, but it appears that there is a camera in the kitchen space, so I would think they could help you solve those mysteries. Who took our sandwiches? That was the only issue we had with food we stored at the property in the communal fridge. However, we all slept nicely and could have slept for a long time. We enjoyed accessing the TV. Overall, it is a wonderful location and we were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean and quiet.

When I travel, I appreciate a nice bed and an opportunity to finish my day with a glass of wine that I bring and a nice cup of coffee in th e morning, provided by the house. Unfortunately, there was nothing but styrofoam plates, cups, bowls, and plastic spoons for serving. So I had my evening wine in Styrofoam. Coffee was a Folgers coffee bag that I dipped into hot water and drank from Styrofoam. A high sugar, multicolored cereal was available in an unlabeled container. And fruit punch was available instead of juice. I manage 3 rentals in OR and feel like this property missed some of these comforts that I know my travelers appreciate. Additionally, the shower made a very high-pitched noise when in use. It's not a big deal, just annoying. Same with house requirements to remove shoes upon entry and cameras to monitor. I have a clamshell tent on top of my car but didn't really want to "camp" this trip because I wanted some creature comforts not available in most campgrounds. Like brewed coffee, real glass for my beverages, a plate for dinner, and temperature control in my room. I'm a bit disappointed that these expectations weren't met.
