Spacious & New Guesthouse in Orem - Provo

The staff was very nice & helpful. When a lightbulb and some towels were missing, she made a trip at night to bring these items. Things were clean.

It was difficult to find. GPS was definitely necessary. The twin bed was not comfortable and the user (a small female adult) had to switch to larger bed during the night. It might have been fine for a small child but not anyone high school size or an adult. We didn’t like having to take our shoes off at the front door and carrying to our room. The warning about them possibly being stolen if left by the door wasn’t a positive note either even if helpful. There wasn’t ice to put in beverages. For breakfast, a sign like “Help yourself” or something similar would be helpful concerning the items provided as offered in description. A breakfast offered in the add was not what we found. It would have been better to either list specifics in the description or not advertise/offer at all. The oatmeal packets were so old they were hard. Definitely not a comfortable looking for things. The plastics spoons were the cheapest possible and hard to use in the oatmeal. Also having a few regular bowls and plates would be better and not too difficult for cleaning when the rooms are cleaned. The styrofoam bowls should never be used in the microwave. Also the house has terrible acoustics. Sound carries throughout the house. We were whispering and trying to leave without making any sound to keep from disturbing others who might be staying and still asleep. It was hard and stressful.

You are NOT renting a guest house. You are renting a room within a guest house and will share common areas. This is basically a normal house converted into a hotel. I feel like the property description is misleading.

Postage stamp size TV with no local TV channels. No TV in the common area either. Picturesavailable.

Location was good. Price was fair. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the facility. The breakfast was adequate.

The twin bed in our room (#12) was a little hard (felt like there was a coil that was applying pressure up to the sheets). It wasn't too bad, but made the bed less comfortable. I also sent a message to host Ron to which he never replied about checkout procedure.

It was a nice little room. Good price for the location. There's lots of things to do around that area of Orem and lots of public transportation if you don't want to pay to rent a car or Uber It's also in a very nice part of town, there is quite literally a mansion of the hill. Overall we really liked it and had a wonderful time!

I wish they would have had a water filter or even sold water. the tap water was quite gross so we didn't end up drinking much water since we didn't have easy access to it. Also next time I would definitely pay to have a private bathroom. we shared a bathroom with one other person staying in the house and there were times we were waiting 30 minutes to use the bathroom.
