Sol Miranda Hotel

The hotel is run by Alicia and her family. They are really friendly folks. Alicia's daughter Esmilla was the sweetest girl I met during my Peru trip. She helped me carry my luggage from my motorcycle to the hotel. She walked all the way from the hotel to a nearby garage to park my motorcycle. For the breakfast menu, they make an awesome orange juice from fresh orange by hand.

The property was doing some renovating during our stay but overall staff was extremely friendly and helpful and room was clean and had to most excellent view of the ruins. Water regulations here were slightly strict but believe that was more town related than the actual property as water was off from 1030-630 in the morning and 330 to 530 in the afternoon. So kind of had to plan around that but overall, would stay there again. Conveniently located near everything and they were able to hold our bags while we hiked the Inca Trail and visited machu Picchu!

My brother and I had to quickly find a new place to stay. Although we stayed one pretty costly night, it was not bad. The owner of the property said they are still trying to recover from the pandemic and the recent civil riots. The town relies heavily on tourism and so when things were shut down, most hotels and tourism companies suffered tremendously, Contractors were renovating during our stay but posed not annoyance. My only suggestion is add insect meshes on the outside of the windows. The room was warm during the day so we were forced to open the windows which in turn would let the flies in!

Very nice hospitality of staffs, very spacious and clean room, walking distance to main attentions. They cooked breakfast for us. The only thing is very low water flow in the bathroom and was leaking.

The property is situated on the corner of 2 streets and faces the ruins in Ollantaytambo. Our room was the loft of the property and we would sit in the afternoon soaking up the sun through the large windows watching people bus in to walk up the ruins. The mother and daughter team that run the property were very helpful and accommodating. They were both friendly and inviting. The morning we left early to go to Machu Picchu breakfast was waiting in the kitchen in bags to take to eat on the train. The location was fantastic. We loved, loved, loved it. The only recommendation i would suggest was that the property put signs in the bathroom about not flushing toilet paper as we blocked ours the first day, but was quickly sorted. Also the spa bath could not be used as the plug would not pull up. We would return and book the same room.

Great place to stay in Ollantaytambo. Hotel staff was very helpful, place was clean and wifi worked well.

This hotel was family ran and well loved. The view was spectacular, looking at the Inca ruins when you wake up. It is easily to get there. The buses drop you off at the plaza and you walk down the hill and to the right there is your hotel. It is on a busy street so bring ear plugs. I would stay there again.
