Great accommodation which is walking distance from the main square in Xela. The hosts are very incredibly nice and welcoming, they will make you feel at home. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you could need.

Perfect hotel, felt more like a home stay. Lovely lovely owners who really wanted to look after us and make us feel at home.

The hotel room was ready early and the staff were eager and happy to accommodate. The room had natural light and a was clean with amble shelves and a bench to sit besides the bed. The bathroom was clean. The owner was friendly and had helpful suggestions for navigating the community and proactively communicated when a zone wide power outage was scheduled to occur.

There was nothing unpleasant. The bed wasn't as comfy as home, but it was clean and had sufficient blankets for the cold Xela nights. Note to those who prefer individualism, this isn't the type of hotel where one comes and goes anonymously. It is small and requires interaction with the owner -- even to open the front door. :) I think that is good but something to be aware of.

Edgar and Ody were the best hosts I had in Guatemala. They gave me directions, information and I genuinely felt cared for during my stay. I looked forward to our nightly tea and chats even though my Spanish is poor. They were patient and kind. The facilities were clean, nice and for great value. I’m so glad I choose to stay at hotel casolia.

It’s about 6 blocks from restaurants and Parque central. I enjoyed the walk but others might not.

The room was clean and had a good en suite bathroom. The owners were very accommodating and kind.
