Nobody on site to help resolve a malfunctioning room key - resolved by telephone in the end but delayed us getting into the room

Lovely building - secure parking - comfortable and clean - they so kindly extended our parking by an extra night when attended a function in the city - icc only 20min walk from property - great communication with property

My key card stopped working and the staff did not understand this and continued to check the machine, leaving me still trying to get access to my room at 9pm in the evening upon return from working all day. I explained a simple solution to leave me a replacement card in the lockbox while I was away. It was only when I had to make threats to take action was a solution found. This is an unmanned hotel and I had to access my room direct from outside, while it was raining. Staff were pleasant but all done by phone, nothing in person.

No staff available on site to support in cases of problem solving

The aircon didn't work & the bed was very uncomfortable
