Lovely rooms, nice and spacious and very comfortable, we were able to come and go as we pleased.

The sofa bed mattress was rather thin and food choice for veggies on the night we stayed rather limited.

Tired-looking shower head that is due for replacement. Insufficient electrical sockets for hair dryers, etc. Low ceiling and uneven flooring - While the characterful quirks might appeal to some, they pose a risk for those with mobility concerns.

Great location, parking, the steak and ale pie was excellent. Staff really friendly and chatty.

Breakfast could/should be offered earlier than 09:00 imo. No fruit, yoghurt or juice available although the freshly cooked food was tasty.

The hotel is great value for money, good food good accommodation.

My only real criticism is the entrance could be better signposted, especially as for first time visitors it may not be obvious, especially with the road closure an repairs that were ongoing during my visit.
