The Heron House

Thank you for everything! The cabin was amazing in every way. There was plenty of space for my family of 3, great breakfast selection waiting in the refrigerator, and if was overall just a comfortable place to spend a weekend. We loved it.

Amazing place to stay, the area is amazing, you have beach access down the drive, the hosts were amazing. We wish we would have had more time to explore the inlet and use some of the amenities that The Heron House had to offer. We will be back next time we are in Olympia.

My husband, my son and I stayed at the cabin for 2 nights. We were amazed at how beautiful the cabin is and so comfortable. The air up mattress we did not know until arrival, but my teen age son had no issues sleeping on it except it kept going somewhat flat. Really enjoyed the continental breakfast, muffin, orange juice, cereal, and fruit. Loved the view of the water from the cabin just not within walking distance as we hoped. Would stay at the Heron House again if we are in Washington.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Heron House! It was so quaint and super comfortable. It was nice for our family to have a space where it was just us. The kids could be a little noisy and not bother the room next door! The kids slept on an air mattress downstairs while we took the bed in the loft. It was perfect for our little family. We enjoyed the muffins too😊

Very comfortable stay! The Heron house is a quiet cottage with plenty of room for a couple seeking a getaway. Continental breakfast was a nice touch, and the cabin had all the modern amenities one could need. Short walk to lakeside access, ran into Chris (owner) and he was a gracious host who welcomed us to the grounds. Would definitely stay again if we come visit the Shelton, WA area!

The Heron House stay was perfect. Lovely cottage and the host had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Highly recommend.

Peaceful and beautiful. Just one negative the 2nd queen size bed is a blow up mattress. It didn’t matter because it was just two of us.

Heron House is a wonderful place to stay. A couple of clarifications to the Expedia listing for this property: it says two queen beds but one of the queen beds is a blowup bed on the living room floor. You should also know that there are steep steps to the front door and also steep stairs to the loft queen bed. Bathroom is on the main floor. If stairs or blowup beds are a problem this will not be the best choice for you. We had a wonderful stay. The continental breakfast in the fridge is a nice touch. Fully equipped kitchen is well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
