Carmen de Ramilla, encantadora Guesthouse con piscina soleada

Charming little oasis, very clean and close to excellent restaurants & walkways. Walking distance to Allambra, Plaza Nueva and Sacromonte which we thoroughly enjoyed and buses back up the hill if needed. Issa was very helpful in her communication before our arrival, booking for parking and excellent suggestions that we followed to make the most of our time.

The location in the Albaicin area was good

Only superficially clean, we had a flood due to blocked and dirty shower drain, entire apartment flooded, bathroom door lock was faulty, we were locked OUT of the bathroom 3 times, locked IN the bathroom twice, owners response was to give us a screwdriver to prize open the lock, since the flood and damage to our property the owner has failed to contact us, we will be taking matters further.

Our apartment was on the first floor of a lovely, small apartment complex in the heart of the Albacin. The outside door of the property opened onto a beautiful garden with a small but perfectly adequate swimming pool and there were lots of lovely little hidden seating areas dotted around the grounds where you could sit with a glass of wine and relax. Our apartment had everything you could ever need for a self-catering stay. I couldn't think of anything that had been overlooked. The room was large with lots of windows bringing in lots of natural light and there were lovely views over the grounds, the pool and the surrounding mountains. The location of the apartment was brilliant. It was within walking distance of 3 buses that would either take you into the main part of Granada (Numbers 31 or 32) or up to the caves of Sacromonte (Number 34) which is where we went on our first night to experience Flamenco in a cave at Vente El Gallo. There are several other Flamenco shows in the nearer vicinity so it is really a matter of choice as to which one you choose but we were not disappointed. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants to explore nearby so Apartamentos Carmen de Ramilla is a really great place to stay in Granada.

Initially finding the property in the maze that is the Albacin and dropping off the luggage was a bit of a challenge (despite clear instructions being provided to us by the owner beforehand!) however, once you get to know the area, it is obvious where you have to go but patience is required at the beginning (and also the help of a man in a local shop!). The cobbled streets of the Albacin are not for the faint-hearted but wearing a sensible pair of shoes and looking where you are going should ensure that you don't have any accidents.

House is beautiful, amazing garden with a nice pool to cool down in after a day exploring the city. The location is perfect with many bars and restaurants nearby. Would stay here again when in Granada.

Bed was a little small and a little uncomfortable for two tall Dutch people.
