Antas Ville Guesthouse

La atención en Antas Ville fue desastrosa. Anularon nuestra reserva sin previo aviso, y nos encontramos la sorpresa cuando llegamos allí. No nos daban explicaciones de nada, ni ninguna solución. La recepcionista sólo decía q había un problema q no que sabía, y q la reserva se había anulado. No se molestó en buscarnos un nuevo alojamiento ni la gerencia del establecimiento apareció ni contactó con nosotros en ningún momento, incumpliendo todas las condiciones de reserva. No les recomendamos este sitio a nadie.

We stayed there for the Porto Liverpool game. It’s well placed for the stadium, just up the road, a 10 min walk. The staff went out of their way to be helpful with us, they were really good. The room was ok but to be honest we only needed somewhere to sleep on the night of the game. We didn’t try the breakfast either. Main reason for a 4 star rating is the location for the football and the staff (Sophia) who looked after us.

La literie de très mauvaise qualité, le parquet très abîmé, les autres occupants très bruyants mais une réceptionniste très agréable.

Il n'y a pas de climatisation. le sèche-linge, je devais le demander, mais cela fonctionne très mal et ce n’est pas rentable pour ceux qui sont pressés. le sol de la salle de bain est humide ... le lit est confortable. les gens à la réception sont très sympathiques. l'hôtel a un bon accès

Just look at the pictures. This place is horrible dirty and awfull. I can not find the words to describe this terrible guest house. Dogs in Poland has better live conditions. Please stay away from this place, for your own health. Rooms are really cold. Bathrooms are really dirty, and mold is everywhere. I cant believe in other opinions about this place. I know that place is cheap, but I think everyone need a place to take the rest in normal live conditions. So if you want come to porto and have good time choose another hotel, but if you want come and comeback ill choose this one. I have never been in worst place in the world.

Such a lovely warm welcome, very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the shared lounge / kitchen / dining area that made this place really comfortable and social, able to chat to other travellers. We were also able to have food in the fridge and cook a meal. Our host was a fount of knowledge on the area and gave us lots of useful info and maps. The bed was one of the most comfortable on our trip so far! Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend ☺ This is an older building currently being renovated, so a few minor things needed fixing or updating but nothing that impacted on our comfort.

Pros: - Bruno is the nicest person ever, always enthusiastic, ready to help without you even ask for it, showing you places on the map, offering help - safe area - very clean rooms and hostel smelling genuinely good - comfy beds and free towels Cons: - far from the center - kitchen and common area are too small to have two people in the kitchen at the same time - check in time isn't really at 2, could be 3 or 4 - more power sockets are needed - rooms are a bit tight

The staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. The guest house is in a pretty old building not far from the metro and a bunch of restaurants. Lots of great light in the building. This is a great place to serve as a base to explore Porto.

I chose Antas Ville after reading a few of the reviews here on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. My room, on the top floor, was, as described very old and in need of a lick of paint. It was however, very clean, comfortable and quiet. You can choose to have breakfast included in the price but, if like me you don't then there is a kitchen and dining area where you can always make your own. The staff, all of them, are extremely helpful. I was given some great advice, from Bruno at the front of house, about the excellent and extremely cheap restaurants in and around the local area. A particular favourite being, Take Time, about a two minute walk from the hotel. A four course meal for €6. Amazing value. If you want to venture into the main centre there is a Metro, Combatentes, approx 10 minutes walk from the hotel. If you are staying for a few days or a few weeks I highly recommend Antas Ville for your all your accommodation needs.

Antas Ville, though a little bit away from the hectic city centre, is a cozy little place. Ana is probably the nicest and most helpful person in the world! Even though I was there a day and a half, she helped with everything. Place is clean. Recommend it!
