Antas Ville Guesthouse

I think I never stayed at a place with such good service and excellent value for price. The room was perfectly clean and modern,the whole house was newly renovated and very comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful ( they even offered to drive us to the metro station which is 6min away). Reaching the centre of town is very easy,4 stops by metro.

I traveled to Oporto two weeks ago with another traveler. We booked a double room in Antas Ville. Because it was a new hostel, we did not know what to expect. However, it turned out to be a good place. It was a family-own hostel so I met the female owner's mother and father when we checked in. Their smiles and easy-going attitudes softened our nervousness. Later we met the owners (a young couple) who were locals so they were very enthusiastic about everything in Oporto. They told me to pay attention to graffiti when walking around the old parts of Oporto. I got to know a drink "Tango"- beer with berry-flavor syrup through them. And of course, they also recommended nice local restaurants. In sum, the whole family were really helpful and passionate people. The place and the people made our stay in Oporto very pleasant. Thank you! Some points about the environment: the double room was clean and facilities were new. The lobby and the kitchen looked cozy and inviting. Wifi worked well in the common area but it was a pity that the thick wall of double room influence Wifi connections heavily. The room was quiet. The hostel could be easily accessed by bus once we became familiar with public transportation. It only took 15 minutes to reach the center.
