Gratton Grange Farm B&B

Beautiful location, and with better weather a great spot for walking. However, I would not recommend staying here in December, the weather was cold and the bedroom and dining room were not adequately heated, so we were cold in our room and at breakfast. We didn’t see our hosts, and breakfast is very much get it yourself, although there is plenty of food and a good variety. The bedroom is pretty, this is an old farmhouse with plenty of character. Unfortunately we had an uncomfortable nights sleep, as the double bed in room 2 is extremely soft, more like sleeping on a water bed, and every time one of us moved this woke the other up. ( Bed could also do with a mattress protector, not just a sheet.) I imagine staying here would be at its best in the warmer months, and ideal for families with plenty of outdoor space and animals to enjoy.

Lovely room in a very rural and beautiful part of the world. Room was very nice and comfortable with the need to duck a bit for the odd beam (lovely old property) but a very nice stay! Help yourself continental breakfast downstairs but loads of choice!

Fantastic. Gatton Grange is in a beautiful location. The room was lovely with great views, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing a great variety of cereals, fruit tea cakes, crumpets, toast, eggs, baked beans, a number of spreads and toppings, fresh and tinned tomatoes and yogurts. I had bagels, creamed cheese and smoked salmon. Plenty of local walks/hikes. If you like rural and a home from home, this is the place to stay

Peace and quiet in an old farmhouse run by lovely people, exactly what we wanted, it was a joy to be there in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. Thank you .

The property and surroundings were stunning. It was lovely to be among the farm animals and to be able to pet them. The accommodation itself was amazing there was everything we needed and more. The young family that run the b&b and the farm were very friendly and welcoming it felt like we had known them for a long time they couldn’t have been any better. At breakfast we were spoilt for choice there is something for everyone including fresh pastries that are still warm. I would highly recommend a stay here we had a fantastic weekend.

Wonderful place very quiet .room is cozy and clean . This is a working farm and a great experience . Breakfast was lovely fresh eggs . Will be going back as it is a great place to stay

Disappointed really, never met the hosts as they were at their daughters birthday when we were trying to check in and never saw them before leaving. No information on how to check in (said it was sent to me but it wasn't), no signal where they lived so had to drive 5 minutes up the road in order to call them for the info. Once we did finally get to the room we found out the bathroom wasn't attached to the bedroom and had to go down the hall in order to get to it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as there was a massive crater in it (room 5) so my back has hurt ever since. Breakfast was all self serve, no cooked full English like I would've hoped for. Basically the service was non existent. On the plus note the area was beautiful and staying on the farm was pretty cool.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of the beautiful Peak District countryside. Lovely accommodation managed by just a lovely people. Amazing value for money.
