Riad Noir d'Ivoire

This is a beautiful building to the north of the Medina area in Marrakech (about 20 minutes walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa). It has a lovely courtyard and pool area, and we were upgraded to a suite with a terrace and jacuzzi, which was very spacious. There were also other facilities we didn't get a chance to use, like a hammam and wine cellar.

The riad seemed to be understaffed. They had said we should call them when we arrived and they'd come to meet us, but there was initially no answer and we couldn't wait around at the parking spot. The following morning, we needed to leave to catch our flight and the breakfast was quite delayed, because everything had been left to a single member of staff (who was working very hard). The breakfast itself was fine but similar to that in other riads we stayed in for around half the price - for the price here we would have expected a bit more.

The Location was good and you could get to the Souks by easy walking. The Riad was spectacular , the owner has such amazing taste it was decorated impeccably, it was a real feast for the eye. The breakfast was nice simple but very good quality. The bar was amazing and the hospitality second to none. The staff where gorgeous and friendly and genuine.

You should consider taking care of the people who works at Riad, they’re really amazing staff so professional and friendly

Das Location an sich ist wunderschön, sehr gross, sehr aussergewöhnlich. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und einfach zu erreichen. Personal sehr freundlich. Ungewöhnliche Ausstattung.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht mehr: Matratze aus den Jahren gekommen. Bad nicht mehr schön, viel Kalk, kein Licht mehr in der Dusche, nicht repariert, Lichtschalter defekt. Das grösste Manko an die Unterkunft liegt aber woanders: man fühlt sich abgezockt: hoher Preis für wenig Leistung im Vergleich zu anderen Riads dieser Preisklasse. Nur einmal Wasser, am Tisch kostet die Flasche Wasser ca. 9 Eur, kein Fön, Transfert 35 EUR (üblich ist max 20 Eur), angeblich Michelin Koch serviert ungeniessbares, aufgewärmtes europäisches Essen (marokkanische Speisen waren ok, wenn auch viel zu teuer), Frühstück auf 7 Uhr vereinbart kam mit halber Std Verspätung, Leitung nicht gastfreundlich.
