"A nice cottage in a good location."

5.0

The property was a good location for central Windermere. And an approx 20 minute walk down hill to Bowness. The en-suite bathroom was handy and a separate family bathroom. Sofa very comfortable.

The heating didn’t work, we persisted hoping it would come on but had to seek assistance. Whilst it was summer the property was a little chilly later on in the afternoon and in the evening and it was a bit too cold for our baby. Maintenance came to fix it the following afternoon. There was also an odd smell downstairs. The property could do with a few diffusers. The property was relatively clean but on closer inspection could use a real deep clean. Parking was available close by but unfortunately arriving mid day during school holidays, all spaces were taken. A residence permit to park on the road would have been better.

"Fantastic!"

10.0

The location was amazing, we were about a minute walk from Windermere and all the little shops and restaurants/bars/cafes. The property itself was also fabulous, so clean and had all the amenities we could've wanted. Really pleased with it.

Nothing, if I had to complain about anything it would just be that we had to leave. The property is wonderful and a credit to the owners.

"Loved the property/location. Did not go on holiday to stay in dirty accommodation!"

8.0

Lovely cottage, well thought out accommodation. Comfortable bedrooms, good bathrooms.

Cleanliness. An obvious damp smell on entering the property. Cobwebs/dust. Sticky dirty floor downstairs. Hoover filthy. Filter and head blocked with human hair. Recycling still in bucket from previous guest. Dirty sofa.

"Excellent cottage with easy access to Windermere and surrounding areas."

9.0

Excellent location. Close to Windermere centre / parking. Easy access to all areas of the Lake District. Off the street so it was private. Great place for a "get away from it" stay.

"Beautiful cottage in a fantastic area"

9.0

Fantastic property. Very cozy down stairs (but plenty big enough for 3 or 4 people). Lovely and spacious upstairs. The rooms were much bigger than we expected. Its tucked away enough from the main high street in a lovely quite side road, yet only a 2 min walk to all the restaurants, shops etc. We had an issue with the TV and logging onto Netflix, yet after messaging the hosts, they very quickly remotely sorted it out.

We were really lucky with parking and everyday we were able to park on the street immediately outside the property (April time). If you visit in higher season, I imagine that parking could be very limited.

"A very nice place to stay."

7.0

Very clean and comfortable and well presented. A lot of thought has gone into to making this a lovely place to stay.

Didn’t really enjoy having to ask Alexa everything. More comprehensive written notes would have useful. It took a day to find the switch for the kitchen lights! Also I think it’s worth investing in a TV licence . It was quite complicated to get the TV set up to watch something. When you pay for accommodation it would be nice to be able to access channels rather than have to sign in to apps. I don’t know who would go away for a break and think oh I must take my passwords for the Tv apps with me!
