OYO Newquay Beach Hotel

Rooms were clean & comfortable. Staff were friendly & customer service was good. Brilliant location.

The bar wasn't open the 2 nights we were there.

Some suggestions...... Specially in room they can add mini bar.... Plz have some options for inroom dining

They don’t use OYO in the hotel signage. Just call it the Newquay Beach Hotel. I asked for a car parking space and didn’t get one

I can’t yet actually review my stay here as due to my wife’s cancer treatment I’m trying to cancel our booking for the 31st of July. So far I’ve rung the hotel and they have advised me to call this other number ( I don’t know why as it’s this hotel I’ve booked for, so the simplest option would be for the hotel to deal with it?) I’ve left numerous messages and emails over a five week period and it’s not been responded to. I’ve tried the hotel again and just get fobbed off and told yet again that I have to phone this number. I’ve now gone to my bank to see if they can credit the money back to my card but I’ve now got to wait another 15 days to give these ppl the time to give our money back. We booked directly through the hotel and this was a gift from my wife to me for my birthday on reviewing the details and looking at the hotel I noticed we have a charge of £70 for breakfast for two !! I looked at the hotels breakfast prices to see that the avg price is £14 pp I then decided to ring the hotel and was bluntly told that I must phone the company up who I booked the room through as they don’t deal with the breakfast charges. I then explained I booked it direct but again was told to phone a number that know one seems to answer. My wife has terminal cancer and this experience has been a total nightmare and not needed at all. I’d not recommend anyone book here due to the customer service being so appalling. Avoid at all costs

They advised different pictures and then when I got to the room it was completely different- offered me a refund they never paid back -

Convenient location, close to the train station and the town centre.

- Bed not very comfortable, cleaning somewhat lacking with crumbs on the carpet. - No separate washbasin, just a teeny-tiny one on top of the toilet. So if you brush your teeth you need to bend over the entire length of the toilet and press your head against the wall hoping you will be able to spit into it. Or you can spit directly to the toilet where it goes anyway. Absolutely ridiculous. Whoever designed this surely never tried to use it. - For two days the door locking system didn't work, so every single time someone from the staff had to take me to the room. I never even got a room key and the story what and when happened kept shifting every time I asked.

Stay somewhere else! This has to be the worse customer service I received in years. This hotel cancelled one room, in a two room booking, ten days in advance, throwing their hands in the air and claiming that they've authorised hotels.com to refund me when they didn't. Don't waste your time trying to call them, no one cares in the hotel, or in their customer service line. Neither I nor hotels.com could get an answer from them.

Good location, nice view, exellent breakfast

Small bed, one side too soft.

Location was great, staff were all friendly and polite and the restaurant food was excellent. The staff carried everything to our room for us, also.

Cleanliness, but it seems to be a work in progress as the carpets were being cleaned as we stayed, also no lift but that can’t be helped.
