"A warm welcome with a beautiful scenery!"

7.0

Eric is a very friendly manager. After Burundi the hot endless shower wat super!!! A good burger and crispy fries! It has a very beautiful scenery. not too far from Nyungwe forest.

the breakfast was slow and some pancakes tasted like soap. I’d suggest to train the staff a bit better; that would make the price/quality a lot better. Also cleaner kitchen please. We loved the fact that we had a fireplace but there was no real chimney so it was a bit smokey in the room.

"Good"

6.0

The Nyungwe Nziza was fine, but I don't think it's worth more than about $60/night. There shouldn't be more than one guest room per hut, because they are not at all soundproof, and if the property is not full, staff should space out the guests. I didn't like that the walking path went directly outside the room windows. The bathroom was poorly lit, there were only bath towels (no hand towels or washcloths) and there was only low-quality bar soap provided in the way of toiletries. Wifi didn't really work anywhere, and the restaurant was overpriced.

"Expensive but fine option if you have your own car"

6.0

Great location with beautiful surroundings of tea plantations and great views. Good food, huge portions, perfect breakfast. It is possible to walk/ hike arround and see the life of local farmers. Nice staff in the restaurant. Beds are comfortable. If you come with your rented car, it will help you a lot - as you need to pay 70 USD for a ride to the park and back and it is very difficult to leave this area by public transport.

The price does not correspond to what you get - simple rooms, basic shower without hot water (the water is kind of warm for 5 minutes only) and without sound proof door that do not close anyway. The bedroom ceiling was moldy and it was cold during the night. The worst part was the logistics of our departure. We came by bus. The staff promised us to book bus tickets to Gisakura, later the staff said there were no tickets, later he offered us a ride by his own car (for extremely high price), after our refusal, he said the tickets were available and booked for us, in the end the bus just passed us without stopping, so we had to hitch hike while it was raining heavily… There were almost no cars passing by, but we were lucky and managed to stop a truck with nice Tanzanian guys and we got to our destination with 3 hours delay…
