Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The place was definitely clean — in fact, everywhere smelled of bleach. But I can’t say enough about how terrible the food was — by far the worst food we’ve ever experienced. And I booked this spot because the reviews mentioned how great the food was. Even the fruit wasn’t good, and the Caribbean always has great fruit. I mean the fish was mush — which makes no sense given where we were! I resorted to eating rolls with butter and cucumber slices for lunch most days. I could go on and on about the food but I’ll share some positivity. The beach was beautiful! Overall the facilities need a good updating but that’s pretty typical these days and not a dealbreaker (again, because it was overall clean). Take it from me, if you enjoy decent food (at a minimum) particularly on vacation, book elsewhere!

The staff was excellent and helpful. The property is lovely. The food just ok.

Overall, as an adult only resort, the place is excellent is very quiet for those of us that are looking for peaceful retreat for from our busy lives. The only complaints I have is that the parking availability for the adults only is very limited so innocence you have to park in the family parking lot and walk across the resorts. It’s a little new ones not a big deal but it still it’s like take away from the experience. The other thing that I would complained about is basically how stingy the staff was about giving me one of those beach totes that they offer to to customers. We were two people in my room and they gave us only one bag indicating that it was only one bag per room even though there’s two beds and two people so when I asked for one, they asked me to pay $30, USA dollars for a bag that is made out of canvas probably in China for like five cents at the most. And that level stinginess threw me off completely. But other than that, the place is nice. The beach is a little rocky at the entrance, but it’s manageable. The food choices are limited, but they’re good food choices for a very short stay perfect to just relax and decompress hop on a plane and return back to your busy lives.

The property is beautiful

Very impressed by this resort. The beach was better than expected, the pictures online do no justice. The grounds are super clean. The food was great we loved the selection. And the Cinolas beach restaurant was so romantic great food. The pools are stunning. This is a great resort to relax. Only downside would be lack of pool side entertainment, no music playing and not much activities for young adults but I would absolutely come back!

El personal no paraba de poner impedimientos y tratarnos mal durante toda la estancia. No pudimos disfrutar de las vacaciones. Ejemplos: nos cargaron conceptos que no habiamos disfrutado, servicio de bebidas muy lento, comida de mala calidad, reservamos una actividad de padel surf y se olvidaron de apuntar nuestra reserva... Además, Jose Luis (gerente de eventos) nos intentó engañar continuamente con cenas y eventos que no valían ese dinero y el último día intentó colarnos una cena de más que no habíamos disfrutado. En definitiva, mal trato del personal y no paraban de ponernos problemas e impedimentos.

Very classy place. Everybody were so helpful.
