Overall we had a great experience. As a suggestion: 1. Rooms need to be cleaned more thoroughly, e.g. dust, floor cleaning. 2. Smoking Section on the Adults Only side needs to be moved towards the pool area. 3. Towel Changing station also needs to be moved closer to the pull side.

"Review of La Romana Adult Hotel"

The positives: the restaurant staff were incredibly kind, and the housekeeping team was exceptional, keeping the rooms spotless and comfortable throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed these aspects. As a VIP “Enclave” guest, I was promised a late check-out, even receiving a coupon for it. Despite arranging this in advance, I never received confirmation. Assuming it was approved, I planned my departure for 2 PM, only to be harassed with +10 phone calls starting at 12:01 PM. Adding to the stress, the hotel cut off my Wi-Fi access after the standard check-out time—a petty and unprofessional gesture. The food was also disappointing. Despite glowing reviews, it lacked variety, with repetitive dishes served across the two “buffets” and restaurants. The buffet system wasn’t self-serve, and staff often misjudged portion requests, creating unnecessary frustration. All the restaurants offered at the hotel are merely replicas of the buffet, adding absolutely nothing new or unique to the dining experience. The pool area was another letdown. Loungers were “reserved” with towels early in the morning, yet remained unoccupied for hours. The hotel failed to enforce any rules, making it nearly impossible to find a spot unless waking up at dawn. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, the poor communication, subpar dining experience, and mismanagement of the pool left me dissatisfied. I will not be returning to this hotel.

This resort is not how that looks like. The food was very simple, the only place that is good is the Sakura. The others restaurant like Peruvian and Mare, really bad food and service. The Peruvian restaurant is not even Peruvian food, the Mare they took my order 30 minutes later. The Staff is nice, the facilities are ok. I don’t really recommend this place. I returned last night from this resort.

Overall it was good experience, we’ve been to this hotel 2nd time, but I must say, 6 years ago it was wonderful, now just good. The grounds and beach are the best (the water is the most beautiful), food was just fine, we liked the most the service and food at Grill. For the things we don’t like was our room (it had had some stains on the floor on both sides of the bed, something was spilled, and when communicated it - they just advised that that’s the kind of floor and they are not able to clean it; I was checking in on my birthday and have told this was reason for our vacation, but the check-in person only cared to sell us upgrade or „premium club” special, hadn’t received a simple „happy birthday” etc while walking around the hotel noticed a lot of rooms were having the „happy birthday” „happy anniversary „ etc banners on the doors.

This resort focus on selling their membership, the food was nasty. Nothing Dominican culture. They focus more on white traveler people. They don’t play Spanish music or have activities to entertain younger crowd. This resort is a nursing home for older people. Even there staff is not happy working there.
