"Needed a place to sleep for one night and this place worked for what we needed."

Couple running it were very sweet and nice! We just needed a quick place to sleep for the night and the room worked for just that. Room had just got new mattress for bed. You can tell they trying to spruce things up.

Walls are a little thin….

"It was so bad as to be scary."

The front desk agent and the manager refused to honor the reservation. We did not stay at Mt Royal Inn against our wishes. They were rude and incompetent.

The receptionist said they did not find my reservation; I showed them my confirmation then she blamed Booking.com. She said "they (Booking.com) always overbook us." I said I find that preposterous as I made the reservation about 6 weeks ago. She said they were all booked up and they didn't have a room for me. She told me to take it up with Booking.com. There was a large public festival in the area and it took me many phone calls and driving to find other accommodations. It was very disappointing the hotel did not honor my reservation. I would never recommend this establishment.

"We left and got another hotel."

The picture online does not represent the reality. Rooms were dark and floors were not clean. Mattresses were wrapped in plastic and blankets were old. We did not stay there. Parking lot was not paved. No place for dog to relieve himself. Traffic noise. Very close to a concrete facility. I would never recommend this place.
