Bangtao Beach Garden by RESAVA

It's a nice enough place. Quite spacious. The staff onsite were really helpful and even arranged to have something we left behind posted to us.

Posting negative things here is fraught with danger, but I will stick to factual points. There is a lack of transparency and communication in the booking process. The price looked great until you realised they charge a cleaning fee (which is normal, but it's a flat fee so it could easily be included in the cost) and only after you have booked do they tell you that they charge 8 baht per unit for electricity. Additionally, 12 days prior to your stay the booking is non-refundable. This policy is also fair, because those terms are clear, however the day prior to us checking in they let us know that construction is happening in the unit above the one we were staying in. The day before is too late for me to cancel, so what am I supposed to do with that information? Also, another thing we only found out upon arrival is that cleaning only happens once weekly. I think that's a little unfair given that the cleaning fee is a flat rate whether you stay for a day or a week. I think that the details could have been communicated better. I wasn't comfortable with the way information was shared and that the responsibility for sharing that information is shifted from the person responsible for reservations to the staff onsite who have to deal with the frustration of guests.

Big Apartment

Big apartment with big living room and comfortable beds. It is a great place to be, especially when you have your own car. Staff is very professional and helpful.
