Food was exceedingly generous and delicious

Piped music was discernable in the bedroom and was a little intrusive due to speakers being located in the bar ceiling. However, when we mentioned this to the staff it was turned down and was much better.

Booked last minute and arrived late, but staff made us feel welcome immediately and showed us to a lovely room with fantastic views. The Inn has the most amazing 360 degree views of the countryside and of Durham and you can see the city from the gardens. They do a really good breakfast too. We left knowing we will very likely return here again when stopping over.

WiFi in room didn’t work

We arrived later than planned but were made instantly welcome. Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and tasty. The bar has a wide range of drinks to suit everyone Parking feels secure. We will stay again

Return visit with my mum as well.both rooms lovely immaculate and my mum hates showers so one with a bath was perfect.staff never anything other than enthusiastic and helpful whatever time of day /night.never heard a grump from anyone .brook was on staff so nice to see her again.food fab both meals .

No shower gel in our dispenser. Minor detail .... but as return visit we packed light knowing only 1 night.still wish handle on wall in shower as it is slippery.chef was superb and had proper stifado on menu.2 of us had chicken bacon dumpling ... only fault dumpling main player and hard and could be used as shott putt.veg chicken chips were 100 %.desserts were good portion and worth the greediness divine all 3 (different)
