Check in was in the adjacent pub but it took 10 minutes for a member of bar staff to appear. Someone walked past and saw me waiting but took no notice. Basin tap was loose and, at best, provided only lukewarm water. Two of us staying but towels only provided for one person. Tea and coffee facilities appreciated but no teaspoons. We checked in at 9.30pm and really couldn't be bothered to try and find someone to attend to these matters. I suggest you ensure the bar is attended at all times, your cleaners check taps etc and a checklist is produced to ensure the rooms are adequately prepared for occupants. Absolute basics in my opinion.

Disappointed 😞 No reception area, you need to go to the bar for check in! Just stayed a night with my colleague Apart from the bathroom that has a good clean, the rest need some work. Damp, dirt, rust is all over the place. Soap dispenser faulty Tea set full of dust Chair too old & uncomfortable Nowhere to put your phone or laptop next to the bed, no socket next to the bed Noisy, floor and stairs creaking

Perfect over night stop clean comfortable accommodation and very quiet. Lots near by and excellent carvery blue light card accepted. Our 2nd visit

Stayed here on new years eve wanted somewhere close enough that was in walking distance to pubs but quiet enough this was perfect the room was nice and big and there was plenty of furniture and plenty of space had a sofa and an enormous bed that was prob the most comfortable bed ive slept on brilliant stay will be back

Stayed one night and for the price was very pleasantly surprised bed was very comfortable and the staff were great.

1st room was absolutely discusting, given a second room and that had mould in the bathroom, my wifes anxiety went through the roof, i called to try get a refund but they said we had to go through expedia, we didnt stay there because we were very disgusted with the place, we travelled back home

Excellent stay and comfortable beds

I reported to a cleaner lady that the bathroom sink tap was defective....ie no hot water and tap moved when turned on. She said maintenance will check it out. It wasn't This was in double single room

Cheap, but not good value. Shabby, smelly, dirty. Not enough towels - asked for another and pleasant response but no action. Only 1 bedside table. Sink blocked, so filled rapidly then drained slowly. On the plus side large comfortable bed and decent linen. Breakfast good but ruined by nasty instant coffee with flasks of tepid water.

It was convenient for shops and visiting relatives. Car parking on site.
