Exceptional place and staff with amazing architecture and wonderful views. Mahmoud and his family were extremely accommodating. We were greeted with a freshly cooked meal, beer and whiskey. Mahmoud went above and beyond for us every day to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. He organised our tours, hot air balloon ride and drove us to town numerous times without even charging us, he also made sure anything we needed was sorted for us. He even drove us around at night in his own car to see some lovely sights. I can't say enough good things about the place and I highly recommend it to anybody thinking about staying. The listed price per night is okay. The room itself is unique which is a good point.

All the staff keep asking for money for literally anything, even for a normal thing that a hotel will provide like a room cleaning. I had my room for the first two nights full of termites, my hand and foot were full of red, and the first response from the staff: "We can clean the room, but pay me 200EGP" 🤦‍♂️ I get my room changed at the end though, which is good. The room is okay, but there is no wifi reaching the room so you had to be outside under the sun just to use the wifi. Each day there are at least 5 people knocking on the door, (sometimes kids!) asking for any slight help like aligning shoes in front of the door, or asking if I want coffee, or some transportation to the grocery store, then asking for money for it. When you arrive you will be directly asked on when you are going to have breakfast and dinner (not do you want it or not), as if it's complimentary, no mention in the charge at all, but then of course you will be charged 10 EUR each. The location is in the middle of nowhere, and of course they are monetizing too. They were providing a transport to tourist places with at least double the price of the normal tour rate, and transport to the grocery with triple the rate of Tuktuk. And hey this is still excluding the tip that they will also asked in the end! The place is really great for you if you have a lot of money and spend it for nothing. If you consider this place due to the affordable price to room quality ratio, you might end up spending much much higher than just staying where a taxi/tourist coach willing to reach. The place has different listing before with different name, and I wish I know and I read the review there first. They are not obviously telling you, which I ended up finding on my third day, that you can use some ride sharing app where you can bid the price and can reach the area. So you ended up relying on their expensive services.

Relaxing and peaceful, great service, good food

Typical Nubian village, a very beautiful architecture and the owner, Mr Mahmood, was very kind and available for every need. The position is good, very calm and quiet but the road to arrive to Luxor City center is not totally safe to walk alone on evening time. Breakfast was a bit expensive compared to how much we paid to sleep. The overall feedback though is more than positive
