The Oakeley Arms Hotel

I dont stay in hotels often but enjoyed my short stay. Food was excellent. Room was great for 1 person. Everything had been thought of and supplied in the room from drinks, tea, coffee, water etc to all manner of bathroom supplies Very impressed. I never sleep well away from home but rested pretty well. No noise at all from the large pub area below, very peaceful. Would definitely stay again

Everything was fine, nice room, good food in restaurant, the location. I enjoyed the stay.

We came here for carvery a couple of years ago and it was delicious so thought we’d try for lunch as we were near by, really wish we hadn’t bothered. £16.50 for a prawn sandwich with chips and salad, chips were awful, salad was tiny and basic, didn’t have any dressing on it and the sandwich was absolutely nothing special, at best it should have cost £7.50!!. Husband had scampi, again not worth the amount charged. Real shame because the previous carvery had been so nice.

Really disappointed! Food is terrible clearly the ‘season vegetables’ were out of a packet! Tasteless, soggy, gravey a cheap granule lumpy gravey. Two of the family were served their meal , mine took another 5 minutes before we all had our meals and could eat. If you are looking for a good meal… DONT EAT HERE!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and it was a gorgeous room. Really cosy and a big bed with comfy bedding. The restaurant downstairs was homely and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The view from the room was stunning and the road outside is quiet. Would love to stay here again!

Lovely hotel fabulous food.

Myself and husband stayed here whilst away celebrating our wedding anniversary. We visited Portmerion nearby and this hotel was situated not far from there. Staff were very friendly throughout our stay. On our arrival they showed us to our room. The room was huge,as was the en-suite. The room was very clean had all we needed for our stay. We chose to dine at the hotel and we were not disappointed! We both had steak for main and agreed it was possibly the best steak we had ever eaten and was it cooked to perfection. Breakfast in the morning did not disappoint either. Located in Snowdonia the surrounding scenery was just stunning. I would happily return to the hotel and would recommend as a place to stay for friends and family visiting the area. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.

Lovely place Room very big and great shower Stairs are steep going up to room so not good for elderly or people with mobility problems

Went to the Oakeley Arms Hotel for a birthday meal. There were 8 of us and it was just perfect. The food was beautiful and reasonably priced. We booked by email 5 weeks in advance and even though I believe they didn't have our booking, they were happy to accommodate us.
