The Oakeley Arms Hotel

What a lovely, welcoming, interesting place to stay! We just stopped for one night after visiting Portmeirion after spending most of the week in Llandudno and it was such a lovely night. We relaxed in the sunshine outside with a drink in the afternoon and then we had a beautiful meal before a great nights sleep. We loved the decor of the hotel it was so quirky! Then a lovely breakfast which you order and is made fresh before setting off home. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Went Sunday lunch time, extremely busy, you must book a table. Superb Sunday carvery, stacks of veg to choose from, nice big plate with plenty of room for a good plateful with plenty of gravy, lovely home made yorkie puds. Four choices of meat on carvery, Lamb was amazing Daughter had pizza which was perfect thin crust pizza, son had kids sausage and mash, good size portion, nice butchers sausages.

What a lovely charming hotel to stay in! So welcoming and lots of interesting things to see, the outdoor space was fantastic for our kids, play park and huge trampoline, the food was great and our room was lovely. Would definitely stay here again thank you so much.

Lovely overnight stay. Great room although the bed was a little squeaky. Nice selection of tea and coffee and good quality toiletries. This was just a one night stay on my multi stage hike across Snowdonia. The hotel is well maintained and located in a convenient spot.

Nice place, well located for what i had planned. Room was a good size. Bed not so comfortable. But other than that i enjoyed my stay and would return.

This would have been a great stay other than for the fact the music on all night. My room was above the bar and all I could hear all night was the music. I tried to call/text the emergency numbers but had no service. So that’s why they have been marked down, fabulous comfy rooms, lovely and clean. Just no sleep.

Ideally situated for exploring the North West of Wales, hotel has friendly staff and a warm welcome, with food/drinks available. Room very clean and comfortable, would stay again.

A fine stay while driving through Snowdonia Well located

Hotel is grubby and worn, desperately needing some tlc and a deep clean. We ordered dinner which was a disappointment, we booked for 8pm and were told to order quickly as the kitchen was closing immediately. Breakfast was a complete shambles, we were told it started at 8am but when we came down there was nobody around except an extremely rude cleaner who stated it did not start until 9.30am and was very unpleasant. Eventually someone else came out of the kitchen and grudgingly allowed us to sit down. Meanwhile an alarm was going off the whole time all through breakfast and none of the staff were bothered to attempt to stop it. The toilets stink in the lounge area and there is black mould down the walls in the cubicles. There appeared to be very few guests staying here and I can understand why.
