The Oakeley Arms Hotel

Wonderful home cooked food. Nicest chicken I’ve ever had. Fell off the bone. Lovely home cooked chips too. Also. was served a huge bowl of fresh vegetables which were delicious. Highly recommend. Came a few years ago and just as good. Will definitely return when back in Snowdonia.

Nice big room with everything you could need, very quite room bcs was welsh music festival behind the hotel and music was playing loud but inside room was nice and quite, highly recomend this hotel

The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and cleanliness are just okay with some areas needing attention. Our room was large and clean but had an uncomfortable bed, and while the cost is low, overall quality could be better

Amazing power shower in room 3

An attractive building and grounds in a beautiful countryside setting close to Porthmadog. Good for families overall but the food is mediocre, for example the minted lamb burger was clearly factory-made, dry and with the texture of sausage meet. Breakfast expensive but not exceptional. Some issues too with broken furniture and creaky plumbing.

Nice hotel let down by wash basin in room instead of ensuite and poor service in restaurant and the fact that could not open any of of the windows

Visited here for lunch a couple of times over the course of a week after days out and also for an evening meal . The pizzas are amazing i was very surprised ! Fresh crispy base and lots of good quality toppings had to ask for a box to take my daughters home . The sandwiches and burgers are also huge and good quality ingredients The staff are all really welcoming and friendly and helpful checking in on you too make sure everything is great ( it was each time.) Love the quirky decor Thank you see you soon!

Booked here for lunch yesterday 08/08/24. Ordered the quiche which was supposed to be full of Welsh cheeses. It obviously had been frozen and was as tasty as wet cardboard really. Served with Macdonald's style chips. My companion's roders were clearly unremarkable. Very disappointing

My stay in the hotel was very good; the room was cleaned and freshened up while I was out. The lady at the bar was friendly.
