Bopha Bassac Boutique Hotel

great boutique hotel, well located to local shops and close to Bassac lane...

We liked it so much that we stayed again and again as we waited for Vietnamese visas. We enjoyed the pool, and the breakfasts and coffee were the best we’ve had in a SE Asia hotel.

Location was great with good sized family room. Staff were very attentive and the breakfast and drinks were excellent. Best on our trip so far.

The location of this property is good.

- The shower took half an hour of warming up and multiple phone calls to reception to work. Every single time we used it, we had to leave it running before getting in for 30minutes. Then if we adjusted the temp while in the shower we had to wait again. The water pressure was also awful, we may as well have washed under a drip. - The cleanliness of the room was awful, the floor was dirty. Every towel had long black hairs in, and when the towels were changed the new ones also had it in. The walls and ceilings had black marks all over them. - We went out for the day and got back at 4.30pm and the room still hadn't been cleaned, despite us leaving the sign on the door. By 5pm we called reception for towels, water and toilet roll. - It was difficult to sleep with the noise levels, as the hotel is located near a street with clubs you can hear the music and heavy bass right through the night until about 3am. So don't expect much sleep. - The breakfast offered for $5pp was below standard, we found an excellent café near by which was just $1/2 more and amazing food (Enso cafe). - We asked for a room with a balcony, which was a joke. The balcony opened into the corridor of the hotel so we had no natural light, despite paying for this. - I am well aware mini-bars in hotel rooms are more expensive, but this place was a new level. - The communication with the hotel staff was really difficult. I know it's unfair to expect people to be fluent in English, but we would hope they would understand the shower doesn't work. - Overall it feels like the hotel needs some TLC. It seems to have not been maintained in a while.

It's a very nice place. Good location, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our room was great. Tasty breakfast

Everything was ok apart from a small detail. The sockets as in many places in Cambodia are bad. The plug is easily disconnected

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam. Really really good, and excellent value for money. The pool was really cold, which was nice, as it was really hot when we were there.

Not a lot. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were not clean. There was no hot water unless you let the tap run for half an hour. TV didn't work. I cut my leg on the edge of the bed. No lifts. Hotel was old and tired looking. I cut my stay short by 3 nights.
