The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa

Very pleasant venue, room was very nice and AC cold! Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Difficult to walk around for seniors with limited mobility and everything costs extra..parking: $35, breakfast: $35, cocktails $17...just a nickel and dime kinda thing.

That I wasn't informed of the $50 fee. If I didn't use any of the amenities, I don't feel I should be charged. It was a one day stay, so we didn't have the time.

The sunrise over the mountain view was spectacular! Although there was a mixup that downgraded us from a deluxe room to a standard, the room was clean and comfy, and we still got the mountain views we were expecting. The staff and service couldn't have been better! Ditto on the food. The mountain location of the resort protects it from city noise. Even at midnight New Year's Eve, we didn't hear any fireworks or gunshots that those inside the city had to tolerate. The entire resort is luxurious and beautiful!

On the down side, there was no USB port in the room to plug in our phones. Thankfully, we brought one 3 prong plug with a usb port with us. And, thankfully, there was one available plug-in in the room, making it possible, but stressful, to rotate the charging of 2 phones and a set of hearing aids. The pillows were quite a bit too thick for our liking, and the parking was horrendous at $19 a day. Thankfully, we found a shuttle driver to haul our bags and us to our room which was pretty high up the hill. In spite of the few inconveniences, we will probably stay again.

Facilities and amenities, service, food and location were all excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent New Year’s trip! John at the front desk was amazing, as was our morning breakfast server, Magda. We enjoyed 3 nights in the Paloma Suite. It was one of the nicest Marriott suites we’ve ever stayed — loved the private hot tub and patios.

Wonderful place! Our kids had a great time and the pools and the water slide. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back. The gym is top notch as well as the spa.

We have no family so my hubby and I made plans for a week at this resort. We were happily surprised! From check in to everyone else we encountered, the service was top notch! Our room was nicely sized with all the conveniences we needed. Our patio had a beautiful view of the pools and the mountains! We both had massages and the girls were amazing. We were very relaxed afterward! We ate breakfast daily and the food was great as well as the service was outstanding! We also had dinner and brunch for Christmas and both meals were delicious and set up very nicely! The bar area was beautiful and the gentleman who waited on us were very attentive and friendly. Reagan and Theo both were instrumental in making our evenings lovely! They also gave us recommendations for things to do and see in Tucson. All in all our stay was fabulous and we’ve already decided we would return. One of our best stays anywhere and very memorable!
