Crowne Plaza Phoenix - Chandler Golf Resort by IHG

Stayed at San Marcos Resort for the 3rd time. The rooms are old, with rickety doors, slow drains, and only cable TV, but beds are comfortable and there is AC. The main building is more refined, with a beautiful lounge and bar, outdoor seating, pool, and photos from their 100+ year history throughout. The location is prime, in Downtown Chandler, close to all the good food.

Perfect location in Chandler, AZ. Walking distance to many great restaurants. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and very modern; especially for a historic hotel. The hotel restaurant has a great breakfast, and the bar is a great spot to start or end the evening. The staff are all friendly, attentive, professional, and make staying here a delight. If you're staying in the area this is the place to go.

At first this place seems to be good, but after several days, you notice all the crud, the poor service, and unhelpful attitudes from the staff. I was there for a conference lasting 4 days. The front desk staff is not helpful at all. I was there for a trade show and had to have a large crate shipped back to my office. I scheduled the pick up with UPS. I paid a fortune for the pick up. The front desk staff lied to me saying that they never showed up. They did show up, no one was there to give them the crate. When I called to get help, I was not helped at all, and they extremely rude. I will never recommend staying here for any conference ever again. The rooms are old and gross, towels old, everything yucky. Not worth it.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in December with our large family, and although this review is a bit overdue, we couldn’t let it go unsaid. The hotel was incredibly welcoming and such a fantastic place to stay. The newly remodeled rooms were beautiful and made our stay even more comfortable. The employees were top-notch—friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. The food was great, and the location was perfect—close to everything you could possibly need. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Nothing this place has gone down hill I have stayed here on several occasions and it has it use to be really nice but it continues to go downhill. The room I had smelled like mold and was filled with insects

The room was filled with insects I had to actually record the room and show thew front desk the bugs before they would do anything about it. It also smelled like mold

The location was perfect close to lots of restaurants that were walkable. The room was very clean and comfortable. I didn't have a need to reach out to the front desk but I did call once to confirm pool hours the desk was very friendly. And overall I thought the room was quiet.

I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Golf Resort and had a generally positive experience with a few areas that could use improvement. The room I stayed in felt a bit dated, but that's somewhat understandable given this is one of the older hotels in the area- some interesting history showing that off in the main lobby. After the main lobby, which looks well-maintained, some of the exterior sections and buildings start to show their age. Inside the room, everything was clean, and the staff here did a good job. The bed and bedding were comfortable, which made for a solid night's sleep. That said, the in-wall AC unit could definitely be upgraded--it wasn't as cold as expected and was a bit noisy. The shower head also felt a little outdated and could use a refresh. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which always makes a difference. One small convenience I wish the lobby offered was access to smaller bills for breaking larger denominations--it would've been helpful. Overall, it's a decent stay with good service and clean rooms, but some updates to the facilities would really elevate the experience.

Great location, stay was clean, people were great who worked there! Saturday great bar at the pool and service was great!

The pool on Sunday had no bar we had no bartender compared to Saturday it was a surprise.also wanted music a-little louder
