Crowne Plaza Phoenix - Chandler Golf Resort by IHG

Breakfast were great. Presentation was excellent. The pool was nice. The room that we ended up with was very nice. It’s what we should have had at the very beginning.

When we checked in the individual who helped us was cordial and professional. The first room that we were sent to was dirty and not a king like we had booked. The second room was very dirty as you walked into it. It was a king but dirty. I had to take pictures of the room because the front desk was having trouble believing us. Not once in the three room change did anyone help us or make contact with us. The last phone call the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. The third room we were sent to was clean but not a king. We went ahead and took it. We stayed in that room the following night as well. The room they were looking to give us was at the end of the resort, a very long way from anything. The third night we were given a king room and it was fine. We think that given the situation it may have been a reasonable thing for the Crown Plaza to wave the resort fees for at least two of the three nights. Anything as a gesture of goodwill. They did nothing. So, here we are 3 days out still waiting for a receipt. The resort says it comes from the third party but Booking.com says it comes form the property. No one has sent any response in any form. One of the questions we asked the front desk was” do you know why people go to a resort?” They could not respond, they just stood quietly. This was not what we were looking forward to at all.

Staff is always very friendly. Room is clean. Always feel welcome every time I’m here, which is about 3-4 times a year for work.

This property is a game changer. We used it as our son’s wedding hotel headquarters. The group sales manager (Jill) was outstanding and always attentive. The property has been updated and is very beautiful. This property is a unicorn, located in the heart of downtown Chandler everything is walkable with dozens of independent shops, and restaurants. Even includes an 18 hole championship golf course, also very easy to coordinate with. The downtown was lively and decorated for the season with lots of free public parking, events and amenities. The local merchants were on top of their game. What a great decision to select the San Marcos Crowne Plaza. Our family and friends all shared their pleasure and excitement with staying at the San Marcos.

Easy check in process, Shari was such a delight and so helpful. Rooms are clean and even with all the Christmas parties happening, there was hardly any noise

The facilities are beautiful, the rooms are nice, the shower pressure is in adequate. The reason I’m writing a review is that the service is absolutely horrible. We had no Housekeeper show up and we did not opt out of service. We called housekeeping for extra bedsheets for the pullout and they never came. We are platinum elite members and asked for a late checkout and were not given one. We also asked for a room upgrade and were not given one. I highly recommend against staying in this hotel.
