The layout and common area cleanliness

The room was not clean, the pillow had creases in it as if someone had laid on it but not messed up the sheet. There were Swiss roll cake papers on the floor by the nightstand. Cobwebs on ceiling. A lot of hair in the tub drain and the tub was stained with dirt and the paint was coming up off of the inside of the tub. It just didn’t looked clean😒.

Here is what happened to me today at the Westin Tysons Corner. I booked and prepaid for two nights. After the first night, I received an email checking me out. While I was at work, I called the front desk and was told the reservation was only for one night, and they offered to extend me for another night at a lower rate, which I refused because I had already prepaid. As a result, I had to leave work midway through the day and change plans related to moving into a new house. When I arrived at the front desk, the same woman who checked me in asked why I was leaving early, which made it clear the front desk agent had checked out the wrong room and I was left dealing with the consequences of their mistake, which they later admitted. The general manager initially refused to come out and speak with me, and when he finally did, he showed no understanding of the situation, disclaimed responsibility for his own staff, and demonstrated a complete lack of leadership and accountability. His solution was to offer me the night I had already paid for as a free stay, which is not a solution at all. I have over 2,200 lifetime nights with Marriott and have never experienced this level of dysfunction, deflection, and poor management. The front office staff closed ranks, covered for each other, and treated me like the problem instead of owning their error. This is not the standard Marriott claims to represent. Avoid this hotel if you value your time, plans, or peace of mind, because when they make a mistake, you will be the one paying for it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room sizes are very nice .

I asked the bartender to split my bill using the 2 cards that were provided and he still used 1 card. He also charged me for way more drinks than what we consumed. I asked him to change it and he did. The air in the room kept making this loud noise every time it cut on.and off. Like the filter was small and when it cut off it fell down.
