Life House, South of Fifth

The location is nice and peaceful, away from the heavy crowds. The only thing I have to point out and it’s not the staffs fault at all. However, my room had a mildew smell and that could be due to the age of the building and the AC ducts. I don’t know. But that got into my clothing and when I left and got home, the smell was still in my clothing. They gave me a candle which was kind and they did empathize. I would suggest management do a building inspection and have an AC mechanic, air duct specialist, try to resolve the issue. Thanks.

Much better than a chain hotel. Classy and comfortable.

Stepping into our room felt like entering a nightmare. The stench of mold was overpowering, making it nearly impossible to catch a breath. Each inhale felt like a struggle, and the thought of spending the night in such conditions was daunting. I urge the management to take immediate action to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests. Adding insult to injury, the hotel attempted to mask the pervasive mold odor with an onslaught of heavy perfume and chemicals. The result? An overwhelming concoction that only exacerbated the discomfort. To make matters worse, the floor was so slick with whatever they used that walking felt like tiptoeing through a hazard zone. This experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise against staying here until significant improvements are made.

We absolutely loved this site. We stayed in the suite before a cruise, and it was just the perfect size. Loved the atmosphere.

Great service, way too much fragrance in the room, noticed a mold smell once the fragrance wore off, likely coming from the air ducts, confirmed by turning the air off - they probably just need a proper cleaning - overall would have been a great experience if not for the fragrance/mold smell, again - service by the staff was superb, probably the best that can be achieved.

It receives high reviews not for the state of the property, but rather for the fact that they give you a free beverage if you leave them a 5 star review. Overall the property deserves 3 stars, nothing special but adequate.

Pleasant staff, very clean, and walkable to Ocean Drive

This hotel was awesome!! The staff were amazing and very helpful. Check in and out couldn’t have been simpler. The room was spotless and so cozy! Will definitely be back!!
