Residenza Donnafugata B&B

Our visit was truly memorable and will stay with us for a long time. We didn’t expect it, but we felt like we had stepped into a living museum. The antique furniture was not just for display—you could sit on it, use it, and feel the history around you. Since we booked at the very last minute, the hosts were away and couldn’t greet us in person. However, they kindly offered us a better room than the one we had originally reserved, which was a lovely surprise. The host, Giuseppe, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He prepared delicious breakfast and coffee for us with genuine care. The house we stayed in has belonged to his family for over a century, and it was magical to be part of that legacy, even for a short while. Lying in bed, we found ourselves imagining who had lived in these rooms, how many children they raised, what they worked on, and how they lived. It was a beautiful connection to the past. The location is perfect—just steps from the town center, making it very convenient.

Tons of character in this old palazzo! If you really want to feel like you are travelling to experience a different environment (as opposed to the same generic gray, white and modern corporate b&b) this is your place. We had the Jr suite...updated bath was perfect. Lots of counter space too. Really lovely large quite veranda for lazy rest after lunch. Giuseppe and Vanessa were lovely hosts and made us amazing bfast with eggs to order and homemade yogurt and more every morning! We highly recommend!

Bed could be a little more firm for my preference. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Magnigique B&B familial. Emplacement exceptionnel, très bien reçus, chambre magnique et petit déjeuner excellent.

Great location, beautiful home, great decor. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. There is a cheese shop below that attracts tour groups. Breakfast in the garden was great and nicely presented. Fresh homemade pastries and eggs.

Parking is not on site. There are paid public lots not far from the location. If those are full, there is street parking of various types. You may have to roll your bags uphill. Our host sent us good details on where to look, but it was still difficult if you are not used to it or expecting on site parking. Beds were a little firm. Do not go into the pedestrian zone to drop off your bags unless you are good at navigating very narrow streets to get out!
