Sheraton Skyline Hotel London Heathrow

Nasty old hotel, first problem is they are NOT linked to the bus hoppa servce for Heathrow - this is not clear anywhere - they are touting Uber instead. Secondly they checked us in a room hotter than a furnace with a broken air con unit hanging off the wall so it could not be turned off It took half an hour to move - into a more tatty old room miles of corridor away

On the whole it was an OK stay. The hotel corridors still feel like a Kafkaesque prison and the Sports Bar is over-lit with tables too close together (the staff were nice though). The rooms generally are comfortable and well appointed. However, my room had no convenient plugs. The desk thing only had European and US plugs under a broken lift-up flap, but that was irrelevant because the back of the desk wasn't plugged into anything. There was only one plug in the room, and that was in the far corner, behind the suitcase rack. I complained to management as I wanted to work, but it was impossible to run my laptop cable that far. They said I could have had an extension cable (which they didn't provide) and when I complained on checkout, they promised to follow up, but as of yet haven't. With so many options on the Bath Road, this level of service and provision just felt like a shot in the foot.

Really out dated rooms, air conditioning controls hanging off the wall and barely worked. Not very clean, hairs in the bed!

The greeting at reception was exceptional, a gentleman originally from Mauritious was an absolute delight. The room was excellent and the restaurant superb. No complaints

Ok stay. Food was good in both restaurants. Elevator a bit run down. 2nd floor hallway needs serious updating. The experience Going up on the Elevator and walking from that to my room made me question my hotel selection. The room looked just like the photo on line. The minibar/closet area looked a bit run down. Restroom was brand new.
