The Thick Forest

The "Thick Forest" situated in a great location near the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock) provides easy access to key attraction, including Pidurangala Rock for panoramic views. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed newly constructed swimming pool facilities.

The bungalows are in the middle of the forest

Breakfast can be improved with fresh fruit and some Sri Lankan pancakes etc.

Amazing pool! Great staff always around to help if you need anything. You feel like you’re in the bush with a lovely view of Lion Rock from our treehouse balcony. Within walking distance to both rocks and some local restaurants just down the road. Breakfasts were good.

Possibly a bit overpriced for the very basic accomodation.

Großartiger Pool mit toller Beleuchtung, Unterkunft mit Blick auf den Lion Rock. Vielen Dank für die tolle Nacht vor Ort und die Organisation eines Tuktuk in den frühen Morgenstunden, um den Sonnenaufgang zu sehen.

Superbe immersif dans la jungle. Les singes sont présents tout autour dans les arbres (bien fermer la fenêtre de la salle de bain. Ils adorent le dentifrice !!!). Chambre très spacieuse très confortable. Petit déjeuner copieux. Une belle piscine entourée de verdure tropicale. Le lieu est assez sauvage mais très bien entretenu, beaucoup de charme. Des vélos sont à disposition gratuitement pour aller visiter les sites archéologiques à proximité (5-10 min max). A 15 minutes restaurants et commerces sur la route de Dambulla.

Eviter absolument le premier bungalow dans les arbres à l'entrée à droite, très bruyant car la route passe juste à coté. Après une nuit insupportable nous avons changé pour une superbe chambre sans supplément.

I'm a really chill person but the property owner was really annoying following us around, asking millions of unnecessary questions and thinking we will leave without paying.
