We could see Sigiriya Lion Rock and Pidrungala rock from there. Breakfast was ok.

- Staff / Owner were unbelievably insensitive. We had arrived at around 4 in the evening and had confirmed the same to them. As soon as we arrived, we requested them to avail something for dinner, maybe by 8. But they said we are saying this very late. We thought we will go to town and eat, but by 7 pm, it started raining heavily, and power went off. We couldn't call our driver, we didn't have packeted food. So, we requested them to allow us the use of kitchen at least to cook rice we had with us. They hesitated very badly (looked like they had something shady going on). The power went off then, and they were not ready to give candles or emergency light, and when we got agitated on this as we had a kid and an older individual with us, they said we can call booking.com for complaints. There was no internet due to power cut and no range then. We finally managed to call our driver and buy food from town and had to scream at them to use the kitchen for sometime. Meanwhile, they asked us to cancel and book somewhere else at 8pm, in heavy rain, knowing very well that there is no internet and non-availabilty of rooms. - Rooms were foolishly constructed, with fans to center and beds to the side. - We had 2 toilets, with one having just the loo and the other, both shower and loo, but weird doors. But the funny part is, the door becomes useless when both had to be used. You have to book and stay to understand the irony of such a toilet. In short, the whole team is totally unprepared, unprofessional, and insensitive to conduct this stay. They seem to be highly unethical, so be careful if you are staying with them. They have put together a stay with whatever materials they found and called it some name to attract visitors.

The location is amazing and the family running the property are so lovely and helpful. Perfect location between Lions Rock and Pidurangala rock. Breakfast was also fantastic.

The location is super perfect with view to the lion and pidurangala Rock. There are very close by. The host arrange tuk tuk drives. The accomodation was in the jungle, be carefully with the monkeys! We got very delishes food for dinner and breakfast. Our tree house was simple but with a super working aircon and a fride! Wlan worked fine. Very nice people, thanks it was nice staying with you!

The bathroom was a bit old and carpets on the floor

Right from beginning to end, our host Mr Saranga has been absolutely amazing. The price for this stay was very reasonable and affordable. Breakfast and dinner was also very nicely prepared and served to us. Tuk tuk transport was also arranged for us whenever we asked. We appreciate all their efforts and they made us feel very welcome. The host is such a kind hearted gentleman, I misplaced my earphones and he helped me get them back. Thank you so much Thick Forest for everything!

I like the serenity of the place. it is situated very close to Pidurangala rock, you are planning to ascend the Pidurangala rock for viewing sunrise, this is right place to stay. They provide a very good breakfast too.

No continuous WiFi, since there are poor mobile signal in the area, it requires a stable strong wifi coverage in the property. The property doesnot have a card payment option, it should be mentioned in the website.

Really nice location that you can see Sigiriya rock from, very peaceful and quite. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also amazing.
