The Thick Forest

The property is very beautiful. The staff is very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Our room had a beautiful view of Sigiriya, and the forest ambience was really nice and refreshing. The toilet facilities and AC also worked in wonderful condition. The staff were very nice and the breakfast they prepared us when a mixture of English and Sri Lankan food, delicious!

I personally had no problem with the bed, but my friend found it slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, the accomodation is really a true forest. The rooms are built up on the trees, and although we knew and felt it was safe, sometimes when we would walk or turn on the AC and heater, the floor would shake. There were also a couple insects that got in our room. For a quick stay to see Sigiriya, it was pretty good.

Could see the lion rock from the room and it was very close so we were able to walk there in the morning. The staff was very friendly, welcomed us with drinks and gave us suggestions about the area, also helped with parking and luggage. Was worried about the insects as it is a tree house but it turned out to be totally fine. It was a very special and comfortable experience, the price is low too, would highly recommend this place:)

We liked to be in the jungle.

the whole night there was wind and the windows and the door kept moving without being able to sleep! there are a lot of flies and insects in the house!

Rustic no frills cabin in the middle of the forest. lovely breakfast and dinner. Amazing host who went over and above to look after me. easy to get to sigiriya and Pidurangala by walking/bikes or with help from host. lovely stay for solo traveler

Nice tree hut surrounded by forest with view in Sigiriya and the other rock !

The tree hut is a bit crowded with 3 persons and although understood, proper cleanliness is a challenge. However, we found it acceptable.
