Ocean Grove Chalet

the location was great , the room was beautifully clean and came with everything you’d need !

the stairs being metal make it very loud when people are going up and down but that can’t be helped !!

Location is excellent. Beds were comfy

Car parking is a little tight for bigger vehicles. Cleanliness of room could be a little better, make sure all old towels taken away and toilet was not really clean- had to use brush to give it good scrub around rim.

Check in process is flawed and requires you to have access to your mobile number that is registered with booking.com accessible the day before check in, which is not possible if traveling from overseas.

The pictures on the website are quite deceiving. The room we booked for four people was a two-bedroom suite, in reality it was a one-bedroom suite with a king bed placed in the lounge room which made it less than comfortable. There were no cooking facilities with only very basic motel type amenities provided. There was no BBQ in the common area/pool space and the overall cleanliness of the chalet was basic at best. If the property were described as a motel rather than a chalet, it would be a more accurate description. The pool was advertised as heated; however, it was cold during our stay. There are no onsite staff. We would not stay here again. The only real saving grace is the location, which is excellent.

The Chalet is in a great position, walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. We stayed in room 15 on the top floor with wonderful views of the sea. The room was spotless, bed comfortable and the kitchenette was a handy addition. Big bathroom with a spa bath finished off the room. There is a lift from car park to access the room which was a great asset. A communal pool ,spa and outdoor lounge was small and under cover, we did not use this during our stay but the area was clean and would be nice on a hot day. Reception was not open during our stay , notified of room by text message. We would definitely stay again
