Ashore Oceanfront Hotel by Marriott

Clean facility , clean rooms and extra towels! Easy beach set up ( helpful beach chair personal). Beach food and drink service 10/10!

The decor is very cute. From a distance it makes the hotel seem high end and worth the price. As long as you do not look too closely. The room was spacious.

The property is okay, you can tell they spent more on decorating the property than purchasing quality items. Like the chairs by the pool, while pretty are all stained brown because they’re made of cheap material. Upon arrival there was evidence that things were just not cleaned thoroughly. Obviously nothing was /dirty/ otherwise we would’ve made a complaint. But I found the previous residents’ soap wrapper stuck behind the sink in clear view. The dining furniture in the room was covered in stains. When we went to breakfast they brought us a glass pitcher of water which was covered with soap scum stains at the top. The silverware too. Small things that just let you know things are being cleaned on a very surface level. Some of the staff here were very warm while others were wholly unimpressed with our being there. Walked right up to the hostess stand at the pool bar and waited almost 2 minutes for the hostess to look up from her phone and acknowledge me. Then I asked if I could place an order and take it to the pool. She said no need to worry she would have a server over there to bring us menus/take our order. After 15 minutes and no service in sight… I just had my husband go back and place an order at the bar. Obviously I can blame myself for some of this because we didn’t say anything to the staff about these interactions. I work the service industry too so I know it’s not easy, people have good and bad days. I mean a waiter could spit in my food and I would still tip 20%… but if you’re like me and you also don’t like to say anything then maybe this isn’t the place for you. Just frustrating for the price tag of this hotel.

They made me drive from Philadelphia on My Birthday to say they didn’t have the room I requested then told me to cancel thru booking to accommodate some sort of refund and never got back I also left my wallet there luckily I still have my DL n Debit card because the never sent it after me requesting it lost on find my stuff
