For Four Flat

Fantastic location and value. Super clean 2 bedroom flat in the wonderful city of Ghent.

My main problem (and I will say that this is more for Americans because we are too dependent on air conditioning) is that there is no air conditioning so hot times in Ghent do not lead to great sleeping for those of us used to A/C and that was my experience. More fans might help this very minor weakness in my opinion.

Hard to know what we liked as we received a very large fine for driving to the suggested parking. The Ghent council gave us a huge fine, as you can tell not very pleased. So beware everyone - do not drive into Ghent with a foreign number plate! We rented the car from Sixt rental company.

Location was great, the apartment was very clean and fresh and as well as spacious. The bottle of 'welcome wine' was much appreciated.

The stairs were tricky with medium-sized, heavy luggage. Basically a spiral staircase up two flights of stairs - most of the steps are wedge shaped and steep (this is Europe!). The twin bedroom was quite tight (with luggage) for two but we made it work. Could use a couple more mirrors - in the toilet and perhaps the bedrooms - four woman getting ready with one mirror was a challenge. A couple of utensils are missing in the kitchen too - again minor. We found the settings on the thermostat too warm and kept having to turn it down.

Excellent location - easy to find and close to attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants. A perfect 'home from home' from which to explore the city. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Carine was a superb host - she replied to our queries promptly and was very helpful.

There are quite a few stairs to climb to reach the apartment - this was not a problem for us but might be for someone with accessibility issues.

Really large and open spaces, we liked the lightness in the apartment. It was all clean with great facilities. You can comfortably cook, shower, sleep, relax. You’re in literally the most perfect spot for tourism and to explore, also not far at all from the train station by car.

Nothing, perfect stay for us!

Comfortable place, plenty of space. Nicely outfitted flat for our family to use as a home base while exploring Ghent and Bruges.

Door code was timed after we were dropping off our bags so we needed to ask the cleaning person to help us. Everything else was wonderful. We would recommend to anyone and stay again
