Papagayo Hotel Boutique

Positive things about the hotel are its central location, the spacious room we got and the lovely dog at the reception. Towels were changed everyday. Very frustrating was the terrible wifi connection, impossible to work or even use the mobile phone. When asked, the receptionist told she could not do anything about it. We stayed there 4 days and none of the days the internet worked properly. The room was dark (window to the hallway, no window to the outside).

Great location

If you value your health do not book this so called Hotel, I have seen homeless people sleep on better quality mattresses. Zanna on reception took about half an hour to check us in. When we finally got access to our room we noticed a strong mouldy smell in the room. We saw that the ceiling was covered in mould in the shower room, the mattress was green with mould and the air con machine was full of mould as well. We did not stay 1 night jumped in a taxi and luckily managed to find another hotel that was clean near by. The Hotel is refusing to refund our money and we have no way of contacting booking.com from Mexico.
