Lone Star Lodge and Marina

The walls are super thin. I heard a baby cry most of the night. When my tv was off I heard full conversations. The place is beautiful. Trail leading out to the lake was enjoyable.

Everything was fine. The office opened late in the morning for us early starters.

The room was clean and cozy. The staff called in the afternoon to confirm my stay and communicated with courtesy. We enjoyed it!

Just ok

Loved the Nature Setting close to Ray Roberts Lake.

The inside door to another room was unlocked and open. After meeting my neighbor we closed and locked it. Odd! The room was decent, the staff very courteous, the stay great.

Very tidy and clean!

It is unique in it's setting near the lake and less than a mile to the cute little town of Pilot Point. Unfortunately the bathroom is in dire need of a remodel. The shower is tiny as is the bathroom as a whole. The office closes at 5:00. We had loud neighboring people near us who we could hear till 3:00 am. It was not a good night stay.

We were in town for a wedding and chose this location because my husband has a heart condition and we needed someplace quiet and peaceful to stay. When we arrived, there was a large party going on in the room adjoining the lobby and the doors to that room were left open. It was so loud that I could not hear what the staff member was saying to me when I was trying to check in. The water is highly chlorinated and we smelled of chlorine after each shower. We could not even use the water out of the faucet for drinking or to make coffee in our little coffee pot provided in the room. It's about a 10 minute drive into town to get coffee in the morning, so it was not very convenient. The phone in our room was not connected to phone line, so is was not usable. TV stopped working on day 2 after a rainstorm. When we went to the office to tell them about it, they said they would have to put in a work order for it to get fixed. Then the staff member asked if we tried unplugging and plugging it back in first. They offered to let us move to another room which was "ready" for us. When we checked that room out, it was clear that it had not been cleaned after previous guests stayed there. Used towels, soap bars, and trash were in the room and bathroom. We wanted to stay in our room and tried her suggestion which didn't work, and I eventually figured out how to use the receiver reset button, which worked. At least it was quiet and clean.
