Compass Rose Lodge

Super nice clean place, first time through Huntsville and we were very happy with this place. Staff was so friendly, and helped us out. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, and great shower! We even got a little welcome treat! We would definitely stay again!

We had such a good experience at Compass Rose Lodge. It’s beautifully decorated, we loved all of the old skis and accessories. It was especially fun to look through the pictures and items in the coffee shop. Scott (with the observatory) shared stories and info about the memorabilia there, which made it even more interesting! The observatory experience was a highlight and again Scott was so much fun and knowledgeable. Everyone we met was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is beautiful. We just loved our stay and have already told friends that they need to experience Compass Rose Lodge. We will be back!!

We hosted our wedding at the Compass Rose Lodge and nearby Huntsville Square and I can't underscore just how absolutely perfect the weekend was. The staff made the entire weekend run without a hitch, and every detail was thoughtful and helped made our weekend a dream. From chocolates in the rooms, to incredible Observatory tours for all our guests, to extremely accommodating team! Also - the coffee + breakfast sandwiches were delicious! Our guests never went hungry, which is quite a feat in a 1 street town. THANK YOU, CRL!!!!

Excellent evening, great staff/guide, super reasonable price. Wish we had know about the cute hotel before we arrived. It was worth the drive from Park City! The tour was very informative and using the telescope was a cool experience for everyone in our group.

Unique property and experience. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We loved it. Our son loved looking at the stars through the telescope. We relaxed by the fire outside. The beds are excellent and we all slept well. They’ve very cute coffee/breakfast bar. This is a place you go if you just want to relax and have good family time together

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beds we soft, rooms were cleaned and very well decorated. Enjoyed the coffee shop and the free breakfast

We loved the observatory and star walk. Scott is flippin HILARIOUS! If you can't handle funny, silly, goofy jokes, just suck it up and enjoy the freshness of his Star Walk and telescopes. We told the staff that we were celebrating our anniversary and they sent a treat. Room was beautiful. The only reason I marked a 3 on area around the lodge was due to nothing close by for meals. The places were closed on Tuesdays. Every other place around the lodge was beautiful and fun. I highly recommend this place, just not on a Tuesday. 😁

The Compass Rose Inn is one of the most charming properties we’ve enjoyed. The staff, decor, and layout make you feel like you’re right at home. We stayed at the Inn to be closer to a graduation party, and we’ve decided it’s our new staycation location. I even invited other people to come to the Inn to see and feel its warmth. They are planning on spending time there on their next visit to Utah. This Inn is a must! When you're there, be sure to stop by the cafe to meet Erika and Gabe. They are so lovely and make wonderful drinks.

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. We loved it. Everything is brand new and high quality. The staff is super nice. The free breakfast sandwich was great and so was the coffee. Highly recommend.
