Comfortable room, great location, friendly staff, tasty breakfast.

Need more pillows on bed

the superior room with the high bed was extremely comfortable , the spa bath was excellent spent way to long in there , really enjoyed our stay

room was a good size would benefit from a fridge , not a huge selection for hot breakfast , no bacon , beans black pudding etc....

The room was very clean and comfortable, also the bed. I was pleased to find a proper bath in the bathroom too! The staff were very friendly, and the location fantastic, in central Grasmere. The hotel also had very easy parking on the premises. Great base for walks in the Lake District, and lots of good restaurants nearby. And we did appreciate organic food for breakfast.

There was nothing we disliked. I was a little disappointed not to get a "full English" breakfast option (no bacon, but there was good sausage), but this was a small thing.

Quality breakfast, but could feel a bit repetitive if you stay for longer. Having said that, we really appreciate that they offer local produce. We arrived at a quiet booking time, and therefore had a free upgrade and the reception staff very kindly let us choose our room (as we stayed here once before and would like to stay in the same room we did). Jacuzzi bath after a long mountain walk was a treat, and room was warm and spacious.

I'd suggest to have a better kitchen extractor so that cooking smell doesn't rise up to bedrooms.
