Property now has permanent residents, played loud music through the night until 5 am, I got no sleep, even though I asked them to be considerate

Room was good in size, comfortable bed. Clean ensuit bathroom. Fridge had food for breakfast, although it was just me but it was enough for 2 people if not 3. Host was helpful and gave clear instructions about checking in and out. Close to ASDA.

It got a little noisy during evening time but it all settled down around 12 am.

Friendly & experienced staff, lovely cooked breakfast. An old fashioned homely place with a lovely staircase and decoration, very clean. Good garden and stunning views from the back of the house across the valley. In a lovely area with lots of good walks and dog friendly parks nearby, as well as shops, pubs and restaurants. Would stay again without hesitation.

I'm not sure how it could be achieved but securing the garden at either side of the house would make this even more a place to stay with children or dogs.

The room was basic but very clean, there were shower, basin and toilet on-suite facilities and the room was based on the ground floor which was great for access for my elderly mother. There was plenty of storage for clothes, breakfast was provided for both mornings in the shape of cereal, croissants/pain au chocolat, yogurt. There was also tea and coffee and a kettle. Room service was also provided and the staff we met were friendly.

The accommodation was chosen partly because it stated on the website there was on-site parking available. However, this consists of a small driveway that can only fit one car on. There are several rooms for hire at this house, so it's a bit of a bun fight to get the space. If you don't manage to park on the drive you risk getting a parking fine because it's situated in a residential parking area which is poorly signed. We managed to incur a fine after 30 minutes of arrival, as the driveway was occupied and we were looking for the house, rather than for parking signs. We parked directly outside the property in order for my elderly mother to gain easy access and had just gained entry to the room when the parking attendant arrived. I spoke to the owner regarding this, they were apologetic, but just referred me to the council

The location being just around the corner to Stepping Hill hospital. This is the ONLY thing we liked about the place.

The shabbiness of the place...very old fashioned decor. Black mould in the bathroom. There was a very old thermostat dial that I turned despite worn off numbers, made no difference as heating stayed on all night and the room was very uncomfortably hot. My partner has asthma and she had a very restless night. The pillows were seriously flat also, there doesnt seem to be much consideration to the guests' comfort at all. Very unhappy about being misled over the breakfast listing. It states when booking that breakfast is included (which was a clincher when we were searching). I even sent a message to the place asking for a vegetarian option (which of course they didn't reply to), the reason being of course that the breakfast was a 'continental' consisting of a couple of croissants, a very small carton of orange and a child size box of coco pops or cornflakes. For £65, we were expecting much better than this. I really do think that the price was too much and it should stipulate in the wording that the breakfast is very minimal.

Comfortable, quiet, all known to me as have stayed here many times previously.
