Shower. Sleep. Exceptional Breakfast ,with a beautiful view of the garden. Wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Drove me to and from my event at 2/3rds the normal rate of taxi services in the area.

It sounds a bit picky really,. The only thing wasthat,there were no shower gel/shampoo supplied.

For the start false advertising! There is no mention the owners actually live at the property, which if I knew I wouldn’t stay there in first place and avoided this very poor experience. On arrival the owner opens the door and tells you to take your shoes off(not very hospitable in my opinion) and doesn’t provide you with slippers or anything, which is already very strange. Then room I’ve booked was bed and breakfast for myself. I wanted to stay there as I was seeing my client the next morning near by. My girlfriend lives in Essex so I’ve told her to come over to spend some time together for couple of hours only as she had to go back home to her kids later, but the owners rejected for me to invite my other half. I was totally shocked and embarrassed, didn’t know what to say really!! I have explained the situation but they had none of it and they suggested I can entertain my girlfriend in a nearby pub, would you believe that? They were making decisions what I can and cannot do with my evening. Last thing I wanted after busy and long day to go to the local pub and sit there to be able to spend the time with my other half…NO! I wanted to stay in my room to relax on the bed with my feet up watching TV and have cuddles with my girlfriend actually. After 10min of going back and forth I’ve decided I have enough of this and decided to leave. Then the owner said I could just pay additional £20 for her to be able to go up to the room, which was ridiculous as she wouldn’t use any facilities, wouldn’t stay over night and wouldn’t have breakfast either! Very stubborn man and completely incapable of listening to the customer in first place. Then on my way out I have asked about my stay here and how are we going to agree on the payment/refund for this disastrous experience but again they have lied to me because they have said I have to deal with booking.com directly as they have the money for the stay but in fact booking.com charged me and they have charged booking.com for it

Exceptional BnB in all aspects. The breakfast is high quality and ample. Lovely house, a very comfortable room and a pleasure to stay. Highly recommended.

Booked for its close proximity to Stanstead as I had an early flight the next day. The couple that runs the place great you on arrival and are very lovely and make you feel instantly at ease. I was checked in and also shown how to use all the amenities and given some tips on local places to eat. Take their advice and go to the local pub for a Huffer! I was even able to charge my EV onsite at a very reasonable rate and I slept very well. One of my favourite home stays for a long time. I will be back again if I ever fly from Stanstead early doors!

Overall, the best homestay I have ever stayed at. Accomodation, food, service...faultless.

If anything at all, a USB socket point in the bedroom would have been excellent as I forgot my phone charger and only had the USB lead
