I had an unforgettable stay at Standard Hotel Maldives, and I'm still buzzing from the incredible hospitality and service 😊. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was at home – it was like the staff were waiting to spoil me rotten! 🙏 Every single staff member was warm, welcoming, and smiling. What really blew me away was how they remembered my preferences and even cooked my favorite dishes. The food was insane! 🤯 Breakfast and dinner buffets were endless, and I was amazed by the spread – it's incredible they can serve such amazing food in the middle of the ocean! The villa was gorgeous, and the best part was spotting marine life and beautiful fish right outside my window 🐠. To the entire team at Standard Hotel Maldives, thank you for making my stay so special. I'd love to come back – this was truly an unforgettable experience 💕.

The Standard, Maldives is an absolute paradise for couples! The rooms are spotless, modern, and incredibly well-maintained. The views from the overwater villa are breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters and endless blue skies. The atmosphere is relaxed and luxurious, perfect for a romantic getaway. We had an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a dream vacation in the Maldives.

The first and the most important positive for the this very resort is the staff. Such a welcoming, warm people, they have made the entire stay seamless and comfortable. So credits to the staff, especially Mr. Shamaau Ahmed, who made sure to sort things out for us with extreme professionalism and respect. He was very kind and helpful, making sure everything has been handled appropriately. Special mention to Mr. Sai, from the Joos cafe staff. Couldn’t feel more comfortable like home and all credits to this man, Mr. Sai. He put extra efforts into making our stay worthwhile in terms of food and hospitality. Such a wonderful man and great professional. And the stay needs no stay, beautiful getaway with my family and best ever choice of resort. Surely coming back to this beautiful place and definitely recommending to others.

The Standard, Maldives From the moment we arrived, everything felt completely effortless, and that was thanks to Eva. She was our point of contact throughout the stay and made everything run smoothly from the start. Always available, efficient, and genuinely kind, which makes a big difference when you travel as a family. The island itself is beautiful, really beautiful. But what actually makes the difference here is the people. It’s also one of the few places that feels natural. There’s a proper reef, nothing artificial, and the sea life is incredible. You don’t need to plan anything, you just walk into the water and you’re already surrounded by it. The kids loved it. Very early into the trip, we started going out on the water. We did a private snorkeling with Hanim, and that was honestly one of the highlights of the week. He has a real instinct for the ocean and showed us things we would have never found ourselves. Everything felt easy, safe, and at the same time special. We also did a private turtle swim outside the reef, which was just amazing. For the excursions, Raph was our boat captain and made everything feel smooth and well organized from beginning to end. As the days went on, what really stayed consistent was how good every single interaction felt. At BBQ, Angela, Kuday and Rabbi created such a relaxed atmosphere that we kept going back. At Onda, Shak brought a great energy, and at Todis, Roshan made everything feel easy from the moment you sit down. Mikey handled the entertainment perfectly, always the right vibe, never too much. Our room boy, Rabbi, was impeccable. Everything always done, quietly and with care. And Lama at the kids club was incredible. The kids genuinely wanted to be there, which for us says everything. The food was also consistently very good. Chef Prasanna and Chef Gihan really delivered across all restaurants. By the end of the week, you realize it’s one of those places where everything just works. You feel taken care of without it ever feeling forced. The kids are happy, you can actually relax, and everything flows naturally. That’s what makes it special. One of the best weeks we’ve had. We’ll be back 🤍

We stayed at The Standard for 7 nights during the Easter holidays. It was our first time in the Maldives and we had the best experience. The Island is stunning! we really enjoyed the snorkelling - as first timers, it was especially nice that the security guard on duty helped navigate us to find the fishes - truly amazing. Our host for the stay was Paula - he was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The messaging service on the app is so handy and he would respond instantly eg arranging trips, re arranging restaurant bookings, accommodating special requests etc We had the all inclusive package and visited all the restaurants twice - the food at all of them was phenomenal. Fresh fish and very good quality food - the local cuisine was delicious. My husband is vegetarian and there were plenty of choices and the quality and effort made was just as good as the meat and fish. The buffet restaurant and Joos Cafe were also very good. Joos is perfect for lunch and poolside food but it’s not clear on the menu what is part of All Inclusive and what isn’t- also- a lot of ingredients were regularly out of stock but understandable given the small island. The service from all the waiters was exceptional too - always smiling. The service by the main pool during the day was very good and it’s always a nice experience when sun beds aren’t being reserved at the crack of dawn! There was always some entertainment on in the evenings which was good- just the right amount. The DJ was very good! During the day- The pool party was a nice touch - ice creams, fruit and drinks with some good music in the background. They also had candy floss for the kids. Overall, we had an amazing holiday and will definitely be back.

Location is amazing. Perfect beaches. Crystal clear sea. Resort is lovely. Over water Villa was amazing. House reef was full of life - we bumped into a big sea turtle when just our snorkelling. Staff are great. Service can be a tiny bit slow in certain restaurants and the onsite shop is bit expensive for basic things like suncream. But I am being picky - this place is paradise.

Our stay at Hurawalhi Island Resort from April 7th to 11th was absolutely wonderful and unforgettable. We would especially like to highly praise our Chinese butler, Nyra, for her excellent and thoughtful service. She was very professional, patient, and responsive. She helped us arrange check-in, restaurant bookings, and various activities smoothly. She always took good care of our needs and made our trip comfortable and relaxing. Thanks to Nyra’s warm and professional service, our holiday was perfect and memorable. We highly recommend Hurawalhi and will definitely come back again.

Absolutely fabulous! Where to begin? The island - crystal-clear water and pristine white sand beaches. Paths swept while you sleep by a careful team of gardeners. The lagoon is beautiful and offers gentle shallow bathing. I managed to swim laps of the island in an hour (approx 2.5km if including the overwater villas). The drop-off points have an abundance of fish and underwater life. The interior of the island is lush and green, with lots of mature plants and shade. There are delightful walks through the island with flowers and lush green plants. We stayed in the Lagoon Beach villa (no. 92) and it was perfect. Surrounded by lush green vegetation and with a private pool and beachside access, it felt almost like we had the island to ourselves. The shade around the pool definitely helped with two young children and offered some respite from the fierce midday sun. The Ocean beach villas are definitely quieter, but have less beach in front of them. The restaurants - we stayed on the all-inclusive premium package so had the opportunity to visit all three restaurants along with the main buffet. The buffet is fantastic and if staying on half-board or B&B, you would not be disappointed with this. There is a huge selection of food to choose from and the chefs are fantastic. We loved Onda, Gudaguda, and BBQ Shak, all offered very high-quality menus. The Wahoo carpaccio from Onda and Tuna tartar from BBQ Shak deserve a special mention! The staff— this is what made it for us. We knew that we were coming to a beautiful island, and this would be delightful in itself. What we didn’t expect was such exceptional and thoughtful service from the moment we touched down in Male. The staff are so kind and thoughtful; they take pride in providing such a high level of service, and I couldn’t fault it for the entire 10 days we stayed here. A special thank you to Sai, Anwa, Bilal, and Shak, who arranged a wonderful final night dinner at Onda. This final night was particularly special for us; we had planned to go to the buffet as our boys preferred this, but Shak persuaded us to try Onda again. He then guided us through the menu, suggesting options that suited our palate, while the whole staff entertained our boys, teaching them how to make mocktails and helping them to find reef sharks in the waters around the restaurant. There are so many beautiful memories we will take from this island. But the kindness of all the staff and their enthusiasm to show our children a good time certainly tops it. It feels like the staff are one big family, all working together and enjoying their time on the island. BF Moonlight cinema, dolphin cruise with dancing dolphins, kayak to Baby Island, the fire show, snorkelling off the reef, massage in the spa. So many wonderful moments. The resort is definitely fun and will appeal to families. But we would have been equally happy visiting as a couple. It has a friendly, laid-back atmosphere that makes you instantly relax.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here with friends, and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we checked in, the entire team was warm and welcoming, but we have to give a special shoutout to our housekeeper Nyra for making our trip so memorable. Nyra was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond every single day. She kept our room spotless, anticipated our needs, and was always friendly and ready to help with anything we asked for. Her kindness and professionalism made our stay feel so comfortable and personal, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. The location is perfect, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the overall value for money is fantastic. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone traveling with friends, and we’ll definitely be coming back – largely thanks to Nyra’s amazing service!
