DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport

I truly didn’t want to write this review, but my experience with this hotel has been deeply disappointing, and I hope to spare others from the same. I recently stayed at this property for one night on September 24 while traveling for business. The next day, during my flight home, I began noticing bed bug bites appearing all over my body (photo evidence attached). I immediately called the hotel that evening, and was told Orkin would inspect the room the following day and that I’d receive a follow-up. Despite calling three times the next day, I received no update and eventually had to request a manager’s contact information. On Saturday, I finally received an email stating they were “pleased to share” that there was no evidence of bed bugs—a tone that felt dismissive given the attached photos and the fact that this was the only bed aside from my own that I slept in that week. I requested a copy of the official Orkin report on September 27, but have yet to receive any response, even after multiple follow-ups. My company’s travel agency is now involved and has also reached out several times without any acknowledgment. This is unacceptable behavior from a major hotel brand. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and empathy is appalling. At a minimum, a full refund should be issued given the physical discomfort, emotional distress, and time wasted dealing with this situation. Save yourself and stay anywhere else.

I stayed at this hotel for an early morning airport flight. The rooms are consistent with the Hilton brand--clean, comfortable, and very quiet for an airport hotel. The bathroom was a little small for a tall man, but it worked out. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check-in and when assisting me with my trip. The hotel is located on a major street with many local and national fast food places if you aren't in the mood for the hotel's offerings. The hotel shuttle was reliable. I would stay here again.

Not that I didn't like it ,just was looking for extra blankets in the closet due to me being cold nature and my husband be hot all the time . Lol

It was ok and what I expected for the area.

The shower is terrible. Not giving enough hot water and poor pressure.

I stay in hotels two to three times a week, and the one thing I value most is a clean room—especially a clean bed and a clean bathroom. This DoubleTree was spotless. The linens were fresh, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was well-kept and spacious. What stood out to me right away was how well they take care of crews and how quickly they recognized my Hilton Honors Diamond status. They honored the extra points and even offered a food credit (I only used the points). On top of that, this is one of the last DoubleTrees that still provides a real complimentary breakfast for members. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with silverware, linen napkins, and glassware—such a nice change from paper plates and plastic cutlery. The food itself was good with adequate choices. The room was very comfortable, with a king bed, refrigerator, drawers, desk, couch, and plenty of space to settle in. Compared to many Hilton Garden Inns I’ve stayed at, this property goes the extra mile. The location is unbeatable, literally across from the airport, and of course, they still greet you with the famous warm cookie. Overall, this is a hotel I can recommend with confidence. Clean, comfortable, and professional—everything I look for in a stay.

I Was Stuck On A High Floor For Hours Without Electricty or Elevation With No Compensation or Explanation For The Situation And Problems At Property. Hotel. Com Was Unable To Contact The Property As Well.
